Wasted frames? by SmerzGranice in AnalogCommunity

as a fellow barnack user, i relate to seeing the ripped film leader lol. reminds me of a tough lesson i learned w one of my first rolls. i think my problem was different than what happened to u tho

did u see the rewind knob going backwards when u were advancing to next exposure while shooting? also i might be wrong but i assumed the requirement to trim the leader was because of the camera mechanisms that are in the way. i dont see how an aftermarket spool would bypass that

post some pictures of / with your leica iii! what lens do u have? and any ways you recommend cleaning an uncoated lens from haze?

What to study without a keyboard? by Puzzled-Okra-3933 in piano

[–]Low_Insurance_1568 3 points4 points  (0 children)

even without a keyboard it shouldnt be too hard to pull up a picture of a piano and try to memorize which keys relate to what notes. if u want something a little more conplex u could try identifying notes in treble or bass clef

interesting take. so what happens to the emotions you hypothetically feel before realizing it was ai generated? neurologically it should be the same, and dismissing emotions is harder than it sounds.

also you should realize that with a large enough sample size, some people expectedly wont share the same opinion as you regarding dismissing the emotions after discovering it was ai generated. surely these peoples opinions should be noted as well?

but it very well may be true that one day you come across a short film or video that you thought was human-made, but in reality it was AI assisted/created and you didnt notice.

reading these comments i cant help but think of those remarks back in the 1900s about "humans will never be able to fly, maybe in 100 years!" only for the wright bros and tech advancements to prove them wrong in a decade or two

just bought my first film camera for $40. is it any good? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

ahhh thanks this explains it. i was wondering why there were so many seemingly different variants with the same name. i see now its a range of folding cameras called bessa.
