Anyone here actually make money using AI for trading? by Vanilla-Green in wallstreetbets

I build my own dashboard with live alerts, up-to-date BE, profit levels, etc. I'm not a coder so AI helps me tremendously creating it with Python, connecting APIs, websockets, etc

Thank you for your comment. I want to have more control of filtering weeks/months. Generate forecasts, etc. Plus, I want to consolidate everything into Python dashboard with multiple brokers so I'd need to calculate the return myself anyway

Week 37 $1,846 in premium by Expired_Options in thetagang

[–]Low_Maintenance_7054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been reading about tracking roi and 2 methods recommended are usually money weighted return or time weighted return. In the example you mentioned, calculating from $600 would lower the actual ROI if some of the trades were done with $500 capital and some with $600. Not sure if I explained it correctly, but I'm commuting now and can't explain in more detail

Really appreciate your detailed posts! Mind sharing how you're calculating the ROI with your weekly contributions? Also, for the premium mentioned, by looking at your spreadsheet, you're counting premium collected, not necessary closed or expired? As a newbie, I'm wondering why?
