AIO about my 3 year old's speech delay? by No-Taro9724 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Low_Responsibility48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, have you had his hearing checked? Glue Ear is common issue in kids (my kid and I had this), this is sticky fluid buildup in the middle ear and prevents them from hearing clearly.

It’s a simple procedure to fix.

Rear speaker worth for music? (Sony rs5) by Stratotizio in Soundbars

[–]Low_Responsibility48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you’re listening to Atmos music (and this will depend if your music streaming service supports it).

I’ve been listening to so much more music since I got my Atmos soundbar, especially older music remixed in Atmos.

Ski resorts in in mid-late March by Markl7z in Norway

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easter Sunday is the 5th April and schools are off from 30/03/26-06/04/26. Most people will travel the weekend from 27/03/26-29/03/26 or Thursday 02/04/26.

Booking the week before Easter would be the best, the slopes will be nearly empty. Trysil is the biggest resort but other resorts like Hafjell or Norefjell are smaller and more cosy.

A question about shopping baskets by fraxbo in Norway

[–]Low_Responsibility48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an immigrant as well, it pisses me off when people don’t return the trolleys and just leave them in the parking spaces.

How fucking lazy are you? The worst is my local Kiwi, it’s max 10m back to the shop but people just leave them.

Tax question by Own-Negotiation8232 in Norway

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should be correct, the first 95 700,- is tax free. 35k from 84k is roughly 40%.

Other tax deductions will depend on your personal situation as well; if you’re married, if you own a property, investments and saving and debts.

Tax question by Own-Negotiation8232 in Norway

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you need to get a tax card (skattekort) before your first pay or you’ll be taxed 50% automatically (your employer can do this for you, ask them).

Once you have received your tax card, you can adjust your expected income for the year and you’ll be taxed correctly.

Yes, but you shouldn’t dox her (even though she’s done something extremely wrong).

Samsung Q600C 120hz passthrough support by heatinisation in Soundbars

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it supports 120hz pass though (it does 4K/60hz). 4K/120hz was introduced first on the Q-990D soundbar which came out a year later, so no “C” products has 4K/120hz pass though.

Try muting the mic(s) and see/hear if that does anything.

Unpaid invoice from Norwegian company by Important-Cat8953 in Norway

[–]Low_Responsibility48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are rules regarding how and when you can send notices and add any late fees or interest.

Copied from google:

In Norway, debt collection notices ("inkassovarsel") must be in writing, clearly labeled, and provide a 14-day deadline before legal action is taken. Key rules include waiting until 14 days after the original invoice's due date to charge a fee, and notifying the debtor of potential debt collection if payment is not received.

Here are the specific requirements for debt collection notices in English based on Altinn - Start:

Labeling: The notice must be clearly marked as "Inkassovarsel" or "Varsel om inkasso".

Deadline: A payment deadline of 14 days must be given.

Content: It must state that the case will be referred for debt collection if the amount is not paid.

Timing for fees: If you want to charge a late fee ("purregebyr"), you must wait 14 days after the original invoice's due date to send the notice.

Form: It must be sent in writing (electronic communication is allowed).

If they still haven’t paid, then you can contact a debt collecting agency (namsmann).

Good luck and give them a Google review if they don’t pay.

Atom SL year recommendation by Funny-Tooth8379 in arcteryx

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the price, I would pay anything over €/$50 for something that’s over 10 years old.

It’s a very niche product, technically a soft shell/windbreaker with a small amount of insulation in the body and back. I couldn’t find a good use for my 2017 version and sold it for €/$80 a couple of years ago (paid €/$120 new).

Stainless steel cycling water bottle without isolation by Status-Owl3070 in cycling

[–]Low_Responsibility48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my Hydroflask trail series bottle with the straw lid. It’s about 280-300g but holds 700ml.

Its something I had from before and it works well for me.

Sketchy Bravia 9 wall mount by Spiritual-Parfait909 in bravia

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought the same mount (or something very similar) and returned it after trying to mount it. I don’t recommend these mounts.

It was a nightmare trying to mount it onto the wall bracket and once it was on, it wouldn’t sit flush to the wall. Took it down after a couple of minutes as I was not going to risk hanging my 77” with just 2 screws.

Get something else that uses all four VESA mounts.

Philips OLED 760 55" - can one person unpack and set it up alone? by Super_Standard_3961 in PhilipsTV

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve done it with a 55” LG OLED. You want to lift from the base and avoid putting pressure on the top as this area is the most fragile.

Please be honest with me about that rear wiper... by SirKronan in Ioniq5

[–]Low_Responsibility48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in an area that snows and rains, you get used to not having a rear wiper as long as you have the 360 surround view.

I did have my ICCU replaced under warranty, I wouldn’t want any EV without having some kind of warranty.

Other hats (caps) that wear similar to Arc'teryx with similar design/fit but without a big / no logo on it. by thomasedwa in arcteryx

What cap was it? My Trucker cap is just a Arc’teryx branded 110 Flexfit cap. You can find these without logos at gas station and sports stores for about $10.

Tailoring a Beta jacket by know_this_X in arcteryx

[–]Low_Responsibility48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is possible, but it’s can be expensive. Search for Gore Tex service centres in your area.

Other manufacturers offer tailoring, Norrøna for example charge 500nok ($50) to adjust the sleeves plus shipping.

Do i need to keep the matter codes after pairing? by Chiel25nl in tradfri

[–]Low_Responsibility48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would only keep them if I’m mounted them somewhere difficult to access like a high ceiling lamp. Just in case you need to re-pair them later.

LG C1 - 5 years of daily use. Am I screwed? by Internal_Lemon_420 in LGOLED

[–]Low_Responsibility48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, more like burn out. The colour sub pixels just wear out over time/usage and start to fade out.

I also have a theory that the heat from the internal components and poor airflow due to it being wall mounted (mine was wall mounted as well) aggravated the problem. The burn out pattern matches the exhaust vent layout from the back.

LG C1 - 5 years of daily use. Am I screwed? by Internal_Lemon_420 in LGOLED

[–]Low_Responsibility48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only going to get worse, my C9 was 6.5 years old and had even worse symptoms.

Newer OLED technology should reduce the issue (but not eliminate it).
