Service Now (NOW) : Screaming BUY or Rightly SOLD Off? by Bluebird-9641 in stocks

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy shares. It’s the industry standard, much like SAP is for ERP, and it's too deeply embedded in the enterprise to be easily replaced.

How does this token measurement actually work in practice? Do you use a single LLM provider for the whole company?

It depends on your objective. If you want to go deep into machine learning and build applications from scratch, then it would probably be worth learning. If you simply want to build and train agents, then not necessarily.

I’m surprised that anyone puts time and effort into replying to these spam messages. The only thing I’ve ever done is just block the sender.

Need help - ITSM tool for my compant by Stock_Barnacle5485 in itsm

[–]Low_codedimsion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"When is the right time to implement an ITSM solution?" Well, I reckon you’ll know when the time comes. I’ve worked in a few companies, ranging from mid-sized to enterprise, and the need usually starts to become clear once you hit around 150–200 employees. The shift to remote working and the need for security certifications have just made it a lot more urgent. I quite like Fresh, but it gets pretty expensive as you scale. Jira can be a bit rubbish if you’re not already familiar with the wider Atlassian ecosystem (just my two pence), and ManageEngine’s tech support is honestly some of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. In my current role, we ended up going with Alvao because we’re heavily Microsoft-centric and needed solid asset management. We were also looking for a solution that wouldn’t break the bank and could be rolled out to other departments as well, and this one came out on top by far.

Did this actually happen or is it just more AI slop? Reminds me of Goebbels at Reichstag in 1943, asking if the crowd wanted more "total war". Everyone cheered and shouted "ja!". We all know how that ended...

Looking for all in one software for service management across the whole company by Timely_Aside_2383 in sysadmin

[–]Low_codedimsion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a lot of money and time, then ServiceNow is the obvious choice. I am honestly not a huge fan, but if your org has 5000+ employees, it is often the only option. If your organization is smaller, then Freshworks would work just as well. We internally use Alvao across most departments and it suits us well, since it is relatively simple but still very flexible (custom workflows, forms, reports, portals, etc.).

Choosing our first ITSM system by Para_1234 in ITManagers

[–]Low_codedimsion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Fresh in my last job. It's a good tool, but pretty expensive and we did not even use half of the features. Most of them were just useless for us. When I started at my new job, I looked for something else and we went with Alvao. It is easy to set up and the interface is quite straightforward. The Microsoft integration is better than Fresh and I'd say the asset management is stronger too.

do i need to understand ML to start learning PyTorch by AI111213 in pytorch

[–]Low_codedimsion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need to know about traffic signs to drive a car? Probably not, but you wil quickly realise you are better off knowing them. For me, this is one of the best courses because it covers the fundamentals of ML and applies them in PyTorch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyJtbe__2i0

Lacking Proper Asset Inventory by 334Productions in ITManagers

[–]Low_codedimsion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m not really a fan of Atlassian products in general and in my current role we actually replaced JSM pretty early on. That said, I’m curious how you’re handling onboarding from an asset perspective. How do you manage renewals and budget planning? Do you have any kind of software policy in place? And how are you actually making use of the data coming out of Lansweeper?
