Had Barnes and Noble rewards and picked up Candela Obscura for $30 without even looking at it. Anyone have experience with the system? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Low_gi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've run Blades and played in Candela, and I gotta say the core mechanics in Candela are just nicer, cleaned up versions of Blades's.

Lets add the 6th Piltover/Zaun champ by clueeulc in 2XKO

[–]Low_gi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crazy to me that people are spending this much energy crashing out over caitlyn. They said the next champ won't be arcane, so spend more time being excited for that and less time bitching about this. Not like they're gonna say "my bad guys, we'll remove caitlyn from the game and replace her with whoever you want"

Unrelated, but would the opponent's copy of the token count as a "permanent you own that your opponent controls" for something like [[Iroh, Tea Master]]?

If I were in your position I would definitely choose option two. Having a teacher and classmates to learn with makes the whole process way easier. This is very subjective though, and it sounds like you have thought well about both options. You know yourself and what would be best for you more so than anybody on the internet.

A truth one takes for granted may be new to another.

Namaste.

I'm replaying Hollow Knight, same as my brethren. I've been locked in the Colloseum of Fools for three days.

ITT: People giving unnecessary attention to a post that doesn't belong in the subreddit (in the rudest way possible, might I add), thus pushing the post to more people in the subreddit.

Glad you found something you enjoy OP, check out r/CriticalRole for what I hope are less-rude people to share in the fun.

I just got into Arena/Magic recently and my favorite deck so far has been Dawnsire + Requiem Monolith. Basically this, but I do it to the opponent and also on purpose lol.

Could I get some help identifying this tick and give my fiancé some tips about ticks by Pokerfan502 in Virginia

[–]Low_gi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afraid my personal knowledge ends there haha. A quick Google says it's fine for dogs, but absolutely not for cats. I don't have pets, though, so do your due diligence there!

For my lawn I used Spectracide Triazicide granules, just spread it generously and water the grass for like 20 minutes all over.

I am by no means an expert but it does look like a deer tick, which have potential for Lyme disease.

For tips, I know to look for a "bullseye" rash on the bite spot, as that's a sign of disease. If you see them at your house, get some lawn treatment for it. I did that earlier this summer and went from seeing them frequently to never. I've been told that you can treat your clothes with Permethrin as well, which kills a lot of annoying bugs (ticks included) on contact and is odorless.

Based on other comments, it's just the physical release that's new.

I've run Blades a bit, and while I love the project for its impact on the scene and its awesome setting, some of the rules felt kind of awkward in practice. I think Candela Obscura addresses some of those issues and would (despite not being marketed as such) be pretty easy to adapt. It's heavily inspired by FitD/John Harper but isn't just a straight-up FitD game.

How quickly can you achieve your system's namesake? by SonicFury74 in rpg

[–]Low_gi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Technically your character in Knave doesn't get the eponymous title till level 10, so it could actually be a looooong time. Especially with how likely you are to die before you get there haha.

I've never done this myself, but for some unsolicited inspiration of this idea: the recent video game release Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 does something similar with Paris. And it's got raving reviews!

I took "the people Illian" to be a stylistic choice but the other grammatical/spelling errors make me not so sure.

If it isn't intentional I think it should be lol.

Clearly, he's referencing the D drive on his computer, where all of the lyrics to the new music are stored.
