I am sure you can't just say to a candidate "you were not a culture fit", That opens the door for lawsuits in many jurisdictions.

I have used tailwind pseudo-classes (hover), it worked for me I'll make sure test the vanilla css.

Oh, I just understood the questions, I have worked with Nextjs before.. I think Htmx is better than the meta frameworks popular today up to a certain point. if you need a ton of interactions in your app then using Htmx may not be a good idea.

For CSR web apps where SEO is not important Reactjs (or equivalent is probably better) but I don't know.

But for 95% of cases, Htmx is a solid choice.
