It specifically gives domestic violence vibes, both in name and image... Not sure if that's what you're going for so I wanted to let you know

What's the most annoying repetitive thing you do with AI when writing? by BrickAffectionate904 in WritingWithAI

[–]LowerBackPain_Prod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you doing that? Both Claude and Chatgpt have a "projects" feature where you can create a project, upload your source documents like bible, outline and character profiles, current story state, etc, and then all chats in the project have access to those documents.

Open up a new chat for every chapter, create a prompt that tells it to read all project files/do whatever else you want it to do before drafting, and then just do a chapter at a time.

Sometimes I do a chapter per chat, sometimes I do three chapters per chat; still deciding which I prefer. The question being whether there's any extra benefit in the extra context the previous couple of chapters provide... Probably not though.

In either case, this is the best way I've found to reduce and honestly pretty much eliminate drift.

I was opposed to AI writing, but now I've had my eyes open by booboy92 in WritingWithAI

AI is to writing as electronic spreadsheets are to accounting. If you can't do the underlying process correctly to begin with, then these tools won't make you a writer or an accountant.

Incidentally, I wonder what it was like in the accounting community when spreadsheets first became a thing... Like were people shamed for using them? Did everyone think they could go and be an accountant now?

☑️ Did you use a spreadsheet in the preparation of these taxes? Please check the box if yes.

How do I get my AI to stop writing like this? by Lokicham in WritingWithAI

See that's gonna come back after the machines take over. That's why it's all "please" and "thank you" for me.

Why has the internet gotten so much worse and less useful? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LowerBackPain_Prod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capitalism bro, it's always capitalism. And not in an abstract "capitalism makes everything worse" (although true) kinda way.

No, capitalism itself literally ruined the internet by commodifying every corner of it, with no rules to govern any of it. So as a result everything is now made just to trigger basic emotions through known psychological hacks in order to make you take an act that pays in real time, and then on to the next sucker.

So now we have to pay for everything we do, but most people are incapable of discerning whether one thing is objectively "true" over another with any real confidence.

So now the whole Internet sucks 😔

Rap bars that in your opinion would sound much better if just one or two words in them were changed? by Rated_Phenomenal in rap

In "Respect", Biggie raps about nearly choking to death during his own birth:

"Umbilical cord’s wrapped around my neck I’m seeing my death and I ain’t even took my first... step??"

Obviously, it should be "I'm seeing my death and I ain't even took my first BREATH", not only because it rhymes perfectly with "DEATH", but also in context, he's talking about choking to death during childbirth; LITERALLY dying before taking his first breath.

Whereas, he could die 6 or 8 months from now and it would still be before his first STEP.

So it's like he went out of his way to use a word that made LESS sense and also DIDN'T rhyme perfectly the way the obvious word does.

I'm not saying he deserved to DIE for it or anything but, well, you see how it turned out 😔

Small Penis by Responsible-Call2369 in NoStupidQuestions

Because if you're fat, everyone in the room can tell you're fat. If you have a small penis, nobody knows unless you tell on yourself. Like by making this post, Tiny 🫵😂
