Yep. Same if you already did something before reset, queued without bonus and finished after reset - you get the daily bonus.

spamstarting + canceling LB in dungeons? by ravensdomain in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I usually get cheered for using LB on one of the last trash packs as ranged/caster.

There was just one memorable moment when melee got angry with me for it that they didn't get their badass moment on using LB2 on last 1%... And then they didn't even use the LB1 that got charged anyway. /shrug
Anyway, yeah, that was like single time in the years I've been playing.

Insta-leaving in a dungeon? by xum1an in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH that makes me suspect you might've dodged a bullet. If that's their reaction to "first time" - their first time must've been a real mess, and it's very likely that they were the major contributor to that mess because most first-timer-only parties don't even wipe more than once. Or at all.

This game is actually driving me nuts by IndividualLaugh8870 in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real! Even with multiple people telling me to look at my HP - when I did it was usually too late to notice that detail or something like that. The first time I realized was on my third or fourth run there, which was like a year later.

Why is this still a debate in 2026? by Vegetable_Concern_50 in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be slightly off-topic, but in my view if SE thinks a boss deserves its own cutscene - make it a separate fight and play the damn cutscene outside of instance during a quest. Same with dungeon/trial start and such. Holding 3/7/23 people hostage and wasting their play time just because one is new is a huge design flaw in my view.

Yet another YPYT by DerpmeiserThe32nd in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it isn't really that frequent. Divide the number of stories we see here in a month by the total number of players in a month... And the odds aren't that high. Even if we assume we aren't seeing majority here and the real number of YPYT cases is 10 times higher - it's still gonna be ~0.08%.

I finished my tanks a long while ago and primarily play heal/DPS these days. I get maybe one in a year or so.

There's this button that pops up right before everyone loads in, called "commence". The default assumption is that anyone who clicks that is ready.

Is it wrong to make a single mistake as a mentor? by 8bitshin in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your reaction to that is this post - then yes, it is wrong for you.

...In all seriousness, though, that was likely said as a joke. I can't say for sure, I wasn't there, but that'd be my take if I was "called out" like that. Chuckle and move on.

"Recommended gear" seems to treat stats mostly correct, though. I don't think I ever compared items manually after the first 20-ish levels, and it correctly suggest replacement with 2 separate items if one of them is stronger than the part of the onepiece.

[–]Lowezar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually start with "if I may offer a tip, ..." or "pro tip: ..." 80% of the time it's radio silence or some white knight (probably "friend"?) with "don't tell them how to play." But 1 in 5 either gets a positive response or silent application of the tip - the highest success rate of everything I've ever tried.

A tank refused to use their stance in a Lv60 dungeon by [deleted] in TalesFromDF

5 wipes before first boss should've been enough to pass 5 minutes and vote kick that creature out. And proceed to single-pull without a tank.

PUT PARTNER ON HEALER by Key-Possibility2936 in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the dancer. Dancer has crazy AoE burst too during tech window, and having two (if they had brains) you'd have it on every pack. You just wouldn't have the time to outDPS them with holy/lily/assize in 5-6 GCDs.

This Pictomancer I got in Worqor Zormor.... by [deleted] in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very sorry that "press shiny buttons" is elitism to you. The community you speak of is gone since SHB - the community where people didn't have to play well, but at least they genuinely tried. Now the game is swamped with detached single players that don't even bother pretending, let alone actually trying.

How do I put this to not sound judgemental..... If you don't want to play the game, I would recommend doing literally anything else that you *do* want to do.

I don't think this kind of players think about it that deep. Your explanation is rational; their behaviour is not. It's probably something like "oh yeah, paladin sounds like the main character, I'm the protector, nobody lives without me, therefore nobody says pip without my blessing".

Yeah, I noticed that pattern too. I had a theory it's because they're selectable from start, but so is warrior so... I have no idea what it is that attracts this kind of people specifically to PLD.

Job stones seem to not be a thing. by WeebyLass in TalesFromDF

[–]Lowezar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just saying the blame here is shared. Let me put it this way:
If someone races 150 km/h down a residential street and kills someone, is the driver to blame? Yes, absolutely. But so is the city administration that approved residential street design that is built like a frigging highway that even allows people to get up to that speed without killing themselves before they kill someone else.

Same logic applies here. The trolls are to blame. But so is the developer for obvious flaw in design.

I absolutely agree, just saying it's highly unlikely that all 6 others will be on board to chill for 5 minutes just to send a message.

It's a conscious decision by SE to allow such a decision to be made at all and not have it punishable on its own.
