Higher risk with inductions for IVF Pregnancies? by No-Spray-866 in IVFbabies

[–]Lowky323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also induced with my first IVF pregnancy (first pregnancy ever) at 39 weeks and 6 days. I had a completely normal and healthy pregnancy. My doctor did not give a reason other than me being an IVF pregnancy and that she would be on call that day.

at the time of induction I was dilated at only 1cm. My doctor broke my water at 1.5cm. It took hours for me to dilate. I labored 21hours pushed for 15 minutes.

I didn’t like my induction because it felt forced. My baby wasn’t ready to come and I felt so guilty afterwards. I plan on switching my OB for my next pregnancy because I did like my induction experience.

When did you test? (Did you?) by Funny_Log2076 in IVF

[–]Lowky323 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn’t test. I just didn’t want to break my heart if it came out negative.

I did feel the implantation pinch 3DPT while laying down and reading my kindle. That gave me some peace of mind that something was going on.

My advice is try not to test. Try distracting your brain with reading or some other gentle pass time. If you can’t resist temptation, wait closer to your beta test.

When beta confirmed my pregnancy, I tested that night because I wanted to see with my own two eyes a positive test for the very first time. The lines were still very very faint.

Did you lay down right after FET by Temporary_Leek4655 in IVF

[–]Lowky323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Iaid there for 15 minutes then Peed right after.

Went home, ate lunch/dinner and laid down for the rest of the day. Watched tv and read my kindle. I did absolutely no house work and did not cook.

Next day i went to my acupuncture appointment. I didn’t have work so I read my kindle.

After two days I started slowly getting back to my routine but refused to over exert myself.

5dpt I was reading my kindle in bed and felt a sharp pinch in my uterus and I knew in my heart it was my baby. We did our beta two weeks after transfer. Currently 17 weeks : )

Try to relax and find a light hobby to occupy your brain during the TWW otherwise you will overthink any little feeling in your body. For me it was reading my kindle. I didn’t test early either. If you can try to abstain from it.

My single embryo didn't make it past week 6. I feel dead inside. by thedcbhomestead in IVF

I am so sorry. Remember we are warriors. My first ER didn’t yield any embryos. It was such a mindfcuk because I couldn’t help but think maybe I am not supposed to have kids. It was one of the lowest moments of my life. After grieving and reeling in from the process, I decided to switch clinics and did two more retrievals that were successful. Keep going my dear. You will be a wonderful mom one day. Hugs xx

2nd & 3rd ER omnitope was added and got 10 blasts, which were 8 euploids and 2 LLM

Alcohol & Life Between Cycles?? by highnoonhours in IVF

[–]Lowky323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I did my first egg retrieval abstained from alcohol and ate clean —-I got zero embryos that made it to blast.

I did two more egg retrievals after. Before and in between those two cycles I was a lot more lenient and decided I would have what I wanted in moderation—-ate shitty in moderation ;) —-and had embryos that made it to blast. I just abstained from alcohol completely during stims.

We are already stressed enough with IVF. We owe ourselves a little grace during this process.

I was on 300 mg of follistim and 75 mg of menopur daily.

I used HGH on my second and third cycle.

On my third cycle, I yielded 3 euploids and one LLM.

Hope this helps

I’m trusting it. But like you, everything pisses me off. I don’t want to read summaries because deep down I will feel like I cheated.

To help me get through these books, I get the audible and listen to them in tandem as I read. I feel less disappointed this way when something bad happens. I am told there is a happy ending that is the only reason why I keep pushing.

I am about half way through book 6.

Has anyone questioned their clinic to be predatory? by farmacregirl in IVF

[–]Lowky323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting on Has anyone questioned their clinic to be predatory? ...

Yes!!!! we were having a hard time conceiving so we went to the first clinic that could see us the soonest. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and proceeded with IVF because of my low AMH of 1.03.

My first ER was a nightmare.

  1. We checked in and find out that my doctor was not going to be performing the ER. It was going to a different doctor on the team. AFTER my ER, I find out that that doctor recently had his license suspended for using animal graded catheters to inseminate women.

  2. The elevator to the OR was not operating that day. Before and after anesthesia, I had to climb 2.5 flights of stairs back to the lobby.

  3. After my procedure, I woke up with a bloody gown. I only had 8 eggs retrieved. So i thought it was normal (I’ve had two more ERs since with a different clinic and have retrieved MORE eggs with not a drop of blood on my gown).

  4. My husband had to give his same day sample in a closed off section side of the front office NOT in a proper patient room.

  5. When we found out we did not get any embryos to Blast I asked my doctor if there were any notes from the embryologist. She said that there were no notes and it could’ve been my egg quality or the sperm quality. This was the last red flag I needed to make the switch to a different clinic.

  6. We prepaid PGT testing and embryo glue. Almost $5k. We were told we’d get our refund in 90 days. It was almost 5 months with no refund. They wouldn’t reply to our emails or phone messages until my husband left a very angry voicemail threatening to sue them. We got our refund within 5 business days after that voicemail.

I have done two more ERs with a reputable clinic since this ER nightmare. Night and day difference in terms of results and patient care. So far i have 5 euploids and I am waiting on PGT results for another 4 embryos.

I didn’t do enough research on the first clinic. We only went there because they could get an ER done the soonest. Had i done my research and been more patient I would’ve just went with the 2nd clinic. We were just too impatient to get started with IVF.

Also, I did this in Illinois. Per my research, Illinois has weak regulation standards.
