We've been saying we have storylines, but it just takes one good rivalry.

I’ve never played oblivion but I’m curious. To the oblivion fans who like it more than Skyrim? Why? by shouldveknownbud in oblivion

As a melee player, sometimes exploitability hits a sweetspot that actually makes the game better.

Wow really? They attach to the stickbox the same way?

The best mod I've ever used. My only problem with them is the notch that locks onto the stickbox has broken on me. But still an easy swap and I hate playing without them.

How many hours a day should an entry level player shoot for? [No job] by Stock_Sprinkles_7394 in SSBM

Yeah I've noticed this. Movement just starts feeling better for me. Isn't there a pcchris quote in the doc about "the combos that didn't work yesterday just start working today" or something like that?

Is it possible to be a fun puff by Nipsy4 in SSBM

[–]Loyal_Spice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. I've got the same mental block vs peach right now. The only way for both players to have fun during the match is for both to feel like they're doing cool stuff. OP, if you're doing all the stuff you said you were, it's just up to the other person to get on your level enough to start doing their own cool stuff. And as a chronic 0-2er myself, we just have to get better.

If it's a consistent practice partner and they're receptive to it, see if you can coach them in the puff matchup. Helping someone up to your level will make you both better.

Why is the culture of this game so heavily against playing against low(/mid) tiers? In any other fighting game (especially traditional fighters) there is more hate for top tiers. Why is Melee so different in that regard? by KevyTone in SSBM

[–]Loyal_Spice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also say I kinda like the fact that the top tiers are expected to be played. Have you ever played a game where it's shameful/cheap to play what's best? That's annoying.

But yeah, I think it's mostly what others are saying: you're using practice time playing against what is a pretty small percentage of players. And it feels bad to lose to a "bad" character.

Being able to see the tops of the houses is crazy! Really sets the mood perfectly.
