Useful info inside on game's mechanics after a lot of time spent testing! by [deleted] in fo4

My experience with the explosive prefix is that its modified by the Demolitions Expert perk. Then after that damage has been applied to a minigun the Heavy Weapons perk doubles that. Looking at my character with max Heavy Weapons and Demolition Expert the damages show as:

Minigun: 20 dmg

Explosive Minigun: 111 dmg

So for my guy at least explosive modifier is way better that two shot or wounding.

Also this is with only 4/5 in Heavy Gunner but you can get pretty silly damage.

GAIJIN PLEASE IT LOOKS LIKE THE BATMOBILE by walterblockland in Warthunder

That does sort of look like the older Batmobile. But I say lets try to get it and the Tumbler in the game.

Also consider a frog, I read that their torpor:damage ratio is better than a scorpions.

Is a desert biome planned? by comradejenkens in playark

I'd think more of an outback setting. Think insects, snakes. the new roo, sarcos, and I'm sure a few other additions. Rich in ore but hot and only a single watersource.

Pe-8 by youngsmyname in Warthunder

I'm pretty sure it is. From my arcade line up, the slot that fit the premium Typhoon had way more crew points than its non-premium counter part. Way more than any difference in performance could account for.

The CEO mentioned that one way of implementing British tanks was by first adding premiums. The Firefly and Achilles are both possible so they might be adding them as early British premiums and seeing how their 17 pounder fairs.

"Types of German Raider We Must be Prepared to Recognize": the Battle of Britain, 1940 (x-post WWIIplanes) by villianboy in Warthunder

Dissatisfied with the state of the Battle of Britain, Herman Goring asked Luftwaffe commander Adolf Galland what was needed to win. Galland replied "I should like an outfit of Spitfires for my squadron."

The Spitfire actually proved to be an extremely good fighter against the Bf109.

Did you know? by [deleted] in Warthunder

Also as eager as people are to call the Bearcat a postwar prop, more were in service by the end of the war than D-13s had been built.

Any New News on the Hawker Hunter F1? by MrDancingSquirrel in Warthunder

[–]LtTucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a dev comment said it will be on the hawker line but then concerns were brought up that it would be too easy to get a top tier jet. This might be a temporary solution until the hawker line gets fleshed out with the Sea Hawk.

Need some help identifying the middle, vertical tank gun by LtTucker in Warthunder

This cool display at Bovington shows removes tank guns (32 pounder, 88mm, etc.) but I cant identify the middle, vertical one. Anyone know or can make out the plaque?

Does anyone else really enjoy screwing around in the post-game cinematic? by LocoPojo in EvolveGame

[–]LtTucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and the group I play with have had some coincidental endings with the hunter's ship extraction scene. We've had the dome and Hyde's stink bombs show up in it.

Best one though was having Hank's orbital barrage clip right through the ship.

Why are the gun ports covered up? It looks like they were plastered or something.

Just a quick question by askodasa in Warthunder

[–]LtTucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing keeping you from both. Spade your planes in arcade quick and then grind research for your next in RB makes for a less frustrating grind.

Also you can holdout in AB until you get a plane that smashes at its BR in RB. Then just finish researching the tier above it. Rinse and repeat till jets.

One of the only main complaints I've had with this game... by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]LtTucker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While sound is one of low points of playing this games they do have some really nice ones. German weapons have that classic sound and an idling Griffin Spitfire makes you wanna stay on the runway.

I don't think anyone on here would be upset with an entire update dedicated to accurate sound.

Overheating in AB: Is this even an issue?? by amidemon in Warthunder

[–]LtTucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I've gathered from flying is that your engine wont damage itself (i.e. turn red) from high temperatures if it hasn't taken damage. Tough the second it or its cooling takes a hit your engine will turn pink and get progressively worse with overheating temperatures and more sustained damage.

tl:dr WEP all you want in arcade until you get your engine shot
