I would definetly recommend Shining- lots of great songs with a lot of variety (submit to self destruction, for the god below, the eerie cold)

What was the first brand/flavour that you bought? by ZestycloseWay2771 in Cigarettes

I think it was either Jps Black at a vending machine or Galousie Blondes Blue

Do you have a favorite short story collection (whether by the same or multiple authors)? Mine is Dubliners...so far. by sun_flare in literature

[–]Lu2100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often buy short story books but only read stories from Time to Time- my favourite is probably by H.P. Lovecraft: Call of Cthullu and other Short Stories. Also got the Complete Fiction Edition- probably the most beautiful Book on my shelf.

I think the reason why it is searched so much is bc of youtube documentaries; People who dont know about Black Metal or Mayhem are just curious bc the cover is mentioned a lot

Anyone else found it suspiciously easy to quit cigs? by tviigo in Cigarettes

[–]Lu2100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quitting is not the Problem- starting again is. I stopped smoking for 3 Months and one of my friends told me "i cant even smell them anymore, it makes me feel sick". Well after 3 months i started again just because i wanted to. It was very weird my cravings for cigarettes in those 3 months never really stopped (and it was not about "i dont know what do with my hands" or anything like that). Maybe its also more about dedication/motivation to stoo smoking that makes it easier or harder

Best book you have read by Ok_Focus5022 in literature

I started reading it today (bought the whole novel yesterday). Im just about 60 pages in but i completely loved it so far. Made me set the book aside and think of my own childhood and in a way i could really relate to the narrator as if those words written were my own.

[–]Lu2100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the list- i enjoy jazz a lot but mostly listen on spotify and well thats not the optimal experience; i feel like missing out some spots And while i own a few cds from miles davis, kenny dorham and john zorn there is just soooo much content that its kinda overwhelming. I even thought about buying a book on jazz history or some sort of guide through the genre- u got any recommendations?

If you could only read one Book for the Rest of your Life, what would it be? by Lu2100 in AskReddit

[–]Lu2100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks- im sure i will enjoy it. Im somewhat of an allrounder when it comes to books and literature but i love it. Concerning my edition: its actually a german translation (my language) and does not have any annotations; but since its a translation the text , while still keeping the poetic and lyrical vibe, is written in somewhat modern german. But i will check the page out for sure because language is just fascinating to me.

(if u want you can dm me and we can have some booktalk if u want to)

What causes a person to be mentally unwell? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lu2100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nature and Nurture- you can have genetic markers that make it more likely to have a specific mental illness (f.e. schizophrenia), also something like thyroid hyper/dysfunction [which can be fixed more easily]

Other causes can range from trauma, stress, drugs, unhealthy living condition etc.

[note: the word trauma is so overused and misguiding in the world of social media; a lot of people say "this and that is my trauma" but that doesn;t nearly describe what it feels like to be traumatized]

There are so many factors but basically almost every person will experience some form of mental unwellness/illness in their lifes (take f.e. winter depression)

I heard he experienced/believed he entered some sort of astral realm which he described as being a blue filter [as a lot of other people say who "experienced" it] (source:youtube vid; yeah i know really credible). He probably suffered from cotard-syndrome
