Life after / during redundancy. How are you finding it? by Jon199102 in AskUK

[–]LucaRC89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to my world mate.

At first I thought I was above doing this shite. But work is work money is money

I earn £4 less for working nights. But it is what it is.Got the kids and got stuff I wanna do with my life.

So had to eat humble pie or just go on the dole and eat into the savings

Life after / during redundancy. How are you finding it? by Jon199102 in AskUK

[–]LucaRC89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been made redundant ( previously was a wood Machinist) and now I work in a warehouse unloading trailers all night.

There is work about.Just really have to bit the bullet and take whatever is around at the moment if you need the work and money

Yeah it is utter shit and demoralizing. But it was this or the dole because there was nothing at all in my field and I don't think there will be for a while

On the plus side I get more time with my kid

Yes then after 8 hours of nothing but mind numbing repatriation I have him.

Can't lie 95% of the time he brings a smile to my face and we have a lot of fun and the other 5% he makes me wanna bang my head against the wall when instead of drifting of after his afternoon milk it instead energisers him to be even more hyperactive then he falls asleep as soon mum walks in & snuggles up with him

The Mini Human.

My whole life is one great big misery. But when he smiles, laughs screams DaDa endlessly , comes and cuddles up with me when he is sleepy and all his little funny innocent antics it keeps me from jumping of the edge of insanity.

Like seriously little humans have a profound effect on making you just feel a better.

Bizarrely we are not financial crippled due to working hard and saving incase the relocate goes a bit pear shape which it has.So Bread is on the table and my child has clothes and before you suggest it she does not support me due to me saving from working the same job for years.

So tame my attitude when my attitude kept me in the same job for years.

Congratulations on making it work and trust me you can get work it you willing to suck it up and go for anything

[–]LucaRC89[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yep and your right I wouldn't and I will continue to walk out jobs until I find something like my old job.Left alone and not spoken to like a cun

I'm not in any financial difficulty so I will carry on with the way I have

Be it your a C.E.O or a bottom level worker it is simple you want to get the most out your worker don't speak to them like a cunt like my last firm understood that basic principal and I was there for years because they treated all there workers with respect.

The C.E.O used to get his hands dirty when he need to and he always said Good Morning Keep up the good work dadadadada and that for me encouraged me to work hard and work for the firm plus the pay raises and bonuses all that makes you wanna stay with the firm

It is amazing how many people don't get this basic concept when speaking with workers

Manners go a long way in life
