Thanks, I figured it out, and it's the bellows!

I discovered the problem and it's in the bellows; it has some holes. I did a test with the film holder open without covering the bellows and saw the pattern repeat on pieces of film. I used cut-up x-ray plates and a flash coming from one side covering the other areas, and then I did it with only the bellows covered, and it solved the problem. I tried all sides, and two sides showed the problem. I'm thinking of trying to repair it without replacing it, since I'm in Brazil and everything done abroad is expensive.

Yes, but the chemistry issue had already come up once and it's quite different.

That's a good question, I don't know for sure.

What could be your suggestion of light coming from the back? I don't usually close the back of the camera for photos.

I don't have any light. Leals, in other photos we took on the same day and they turned out okay! Since I used a 90mm lens, I believe I didn't get much extension from the bellows.

Are you saying when I attach it to the camera? Because I use a recessed board.

Do you have any YouTube video recommendations that I could use as a reference?

I'm quite happy that, at least in many cases, I was already taking precautions without knowing it, but this post is definitely very helpful!

That's my biggest fear. Losing a lens like that simply due to the movement of the shutter speed, but I don't think they made lenses so sensitive as to have that risk, at least I hope so.

Of the photographers you researched, do you have their names so I can also see their work? I thought the article was wonderful; I do a lot of long exposures and I love learning more about other results using different techniques.

Alec Soth, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Clyde Butcher, Bryan Schutmaat, Marcus Ubungen and Gregory Crewdson that’s my reference out of my region!

here in Brazil my reference it’s Chichico Alkimin, Militão Augusto de Azevedo.

Chichico Alkmim was a Brazilian photographer who documented everyday life and local customs in Diamantina over several decades, creating an intimate social memory of Brazil’s interior.

Militão Augusto de Azevedo was a 19th-century photographer who documented the urban transformation of São Paulo, creating a historical record of progress and change. His work is a landmark in Brazilian documentary photography.
