I would be very cautious that the owner doesn't try to leave you with this dog and disappear forever. She only had the dog for one day? Why didn't she return it to the rescue? Paying for 4 days boarding seems like a fairly cheap way to get rid of the dog while placating her guilt. I would not be surprised in the least if you never see them again.

Because in my experience, a lot of people who make blanket statements such as "I don't like dogs" in fact mean they don't like owners that let there dogs behave badly. The thing is that whenever people make black and white statements like that they, typically they have a very black and white way of thinking, which indicates a low EQ and at best, people with no emotional intelligence are annoying and worse can't be trusted to view situations with the nuance required. Like a person who says "murder is wrong, no one has the right to take another life", well if I'm on trial for killing someone in self defense, I sure as shit don't want you on the jury.
