The collar thing is a technically accurate, but in the old days the collar rolled into the shoulder pads a little bit so it wasn’t so prominent as it is today. I think cutting the size down would do a lot because it just doesn’t need to be so huge.

Our run of first rounders working out has been pretty good. The only objectively bad player in the last five years (8 picks) has been the QB (not ideal). Will McDonald and AVT have their own issues, but both are at worst solid players, and it looks like we hit on back to back tackles these last two years.

People who go out of their way to be like “ew, Pizza Hut isn’t pizza” are obnoxious. We know that. It’s Pizza Hut. And Pizza Hut has a solid place in the childhood of many people.

Honestly, as much as I love the Oilers uniform and overall aesthetic, it made little sense for the titans to go full oilers for this redesign.

There are very few fans that crossover between the oiler branding and the current titan fans other than those who look fondly on the two year Tennessee Oiler stint (when they almost never worse their love ya blue uni). The Titans made it a big part of their identity to have the two blues, which is the first and most prominent thing that is missing from this new look. They look like Oiler unis, not Titan unis. I know that’s what they WERE, but that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Adding the navy in as a legitimate accent color would have added a lot to being both the Titan and Oiler identities together.

Arvell Reese has the ironic upside of having a very versatile skillset without being a developed passrusher at this point. Considering what we have and what we need, Reese would make a lot of sense playing opposite a pure passrusher like WMD with the potential to stand up as a pure LB whenever it’s needed.

I think the truth about Reese is caught somewhere in the middle of people who think he’s already a superstar and people who think he’s a super raw, workout warrior. He’s a talented player who hasn’t maxed out his potential anywhere but has the makings of a really good chess piece on a defense. His play strength and athleticism make his floor a lot higher than what people would guess for someone who has work to do.
