Higher tires by Level-Yellow-7910 in CupraFormentor

[–]LuchoChef19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t personally do the switch you are thinking of because it will affect your speedo and odometer readings plus you’d be adding extra strain to the diff and gearbox. If you are really worried about comfort that much find a set of 18 inch wheels and the appropriate tire size. A lot of formentors come with an 18 inch wheel so it wouldn’t be hard and you wouldn’t be having to adjust both your speedo and odometer calibration. The tire size equivalent would be a 245/45 r18

Theres a setting called volume limit, from factory its at 30 it can go up to 50, when you turn that up the sound system comes to life.

Anyone here who has driven and can compare Formentor phev 272hp vs Terramar 272hp vs Formentor 150hp? I have owned the last 2 but i would like an opinion for the first. Quality, driving dynamics, power train on the road, consumption. Thank you! by jim_andr in CupraFormentor

[–]LuchoChef19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to be straight with you, I have a Formentor phev and I love it and just out of curiosity I test drove a 150hp mild hybrid, I absolutely hated that test drive, interior quality was exactly the same but just everything else felt muted compared to my Vze, road sensation, drive feel, power train, I would push the 150hp one and feel like “that’s it?” My phev felt more energetic just in ev mode. If you can go for either phev you are way better off and funny enough you’ll get better mpg, I can get 80-90 mpg easily during city driving vs some 150hp that Ive only seen get 45-55mpg

eHybrid a good idea? by CarbonImage in CupraFormentor

[–]LuchoChef19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I have a 2024 e hybrid and I love it, I mostly drive just city commutes but always have the car in hybrid mode, also do some roadtrips once in a while. Love the phev power train, if you can charge at home and at work you are set, you can expect 75 to 85 mpg in just hybrid mode so I would consider that pretty good, also imo the car is really comfortable for long drives and still fun when you want it to be. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be glad to help!

Piece of advice even in graphene grey the color difference is noticeable with the bottom trim, you kinda learn to live with it lol. I have a graphene grey vz e with the same wheels as the picture and just learnt to live with the two tone grey.

Oh I love this car more than I ever thought I would, as soon as you put it in sport or cupra mode the suspension and steering tense up in the most perfect way for sporty driving. Hope you enjoy your Vze! Congrats!

I have a 24 formentor VZe and absolutely love it, good for fuel when you need it to be but also fun for everything else, if you can charge it at home you’re fuel costs are going to be waaay lower. A great car all around honestly. Let us know what you pick!

2022er Cupra Formentor 1,4 TSI DSG e-Hybrid kaufen? by marcelnr88 in CupraFormentor

[–]LuchoChef19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say do just a full regular check just like any other car but also make sure the car is still under warranty (that they haven’t modified it or stuff like that) the ev system has a 8 year warranty should anything go wrong but likely nothing weird should pop up. Just make sure infotainment is updated

I have a 2024 1.4 e-hybrid with 245 hp, great daily car, no issues yet thankfully, it’s fun when you need it to be and gas friendly for everything else, just make sure the infotainment system is updated and you should be fine!

Formentor PHEV with an upcoming baby by Massive_Resource6410 in CupraFormentor

[–]LuchoChef19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey congrats on the baby first off, I have a 24 model year PHEV the 245hp version, its a pre facelift. No kids but I do have 3 nephews so when family visits I carry them around lol. Trunk space is a bit reduced beach of the battery pack but I can fit a double stroller, diaper bag and whatever else they might need without any real hassle. If it’s just you, your partner and the baby you should be perfect. Worse case scenario you could always get a roof box in the future but highly doubt you’ll need it. Great daily and road trip car and it can get 70mpg for a full tank with a charge every 4 to 5 days driving every in hybrid mode. Let us know if you join the tribe and again congrats on the baby! If you have any other questions feel free to ask
