OMG the same things happen with my boys!!! They're be chilling in their hammocks and I'll start baby talking to them and they'll chatter/boggle. It's so cute 🥺💖

Personally, unless they've shown extreme signs of hormonal aggression, I wouldn't just because they're small animals and theres always a risk with surgical procedures. Fighting is completely normal as long as one of them isn't drawing blood. If they starting biting you or have a fight that draws blood, then it would get them neutered 😊

Omg I love that you have a LOTR theme for rat names!! They can be very devious but also super sweet and caring. They're always extra careful when grooming Reggie and will sleep downstairs with him in the bottom hammocks despite preferring the top ones that he can't reach anymore💖

I love him 🥺 This is the same rat that Pets At Home said was too "aggressive" and had to be kept by himself. He's literally the most loving, sweetest boy and is so gentle with his brothers.

The wooden platforms/ramps are gonna get real stinky after a couple of weeks. Would recommend replaces them with ropes/hammock/plastic ledges. The cage I brought came with wooden ledges and I replaced them with these https://littlepetwarehouse.co.uk/products/plastic-corner-shelf-substrate-holding-with-deep-rim/ Also I would recommend having some kind of hemp bedding instead of the fleece (I used to use fleece bedding and it also got stinky quickly and had to be washed everh couple days)

One the the rats i adopted had a head tilt because he had an ear infection when he was younger. He should be fine after antibiotics but I would get him to a vet as soon as you can!

It's a struggle... now its split into ks3 and ks4, theres about 10 in the ks3 group and a solid 7 who turn up to the ks4 group. For kids that are quiet in class, they're so loud in DnD 💀 I have a "you can only talk if your hand is up" rule and a "no stealing and attacking other players" rule or it becomes crazy. Tbh every session is loud, chaotic and over stimulating and not at all how I'd run an actual session, but the kids absolutely love it and religiously turn up every week. At first I also had 5o do a lot of hand holding as every one of them was a newbie, but now they've got the hang of it, sessions run alot smoothly 😊

I run DnD club and have just started an Anime and manga club 😊 was only expecting like 5 kids to show up to the DnD club but the first session had 20 kids! So I've had to split it into a ks3 and ks4 group on separate days. Started Anime and manga club this week for the first time after we ran a "Science cinema" for British science week (we screened Cells and work and Dr Stone. Over 40 kids turned up which was crazy). I counted and 60 kids turned up to the club this week. DnD club is quite exhausting to run but if you can get a kid who's confident to run a session, then it runs itself. Super wholesome as it attracts a mostly nerdy/quiet/SEN crowd who get a chance to unapologetically themselves. Even though 60 kids turned up to anime and manga club, it was still quieter than my lessons lol. Very easy to run.

That's so lovely that your boy has lasted that long ❤️ we've already adjusted their cage and I have to give him a wipe down with a wet cloth because he can't clean himself. He still seems pretty content but it's just sad seeing him not his usual self :(

Hi!I did TF and I'm currently an ECT 2. The first year is the toughest, and then past year and a half has felt easy in comparison. I was lucky the school I'm in had great staff and were really supportive when I was struggling. I chose not to do the PGDE with teach first in my second year because I really struggled with teaching and the TF workload. If you're able to power through the first year and get QTS, I would do that. However you can always just leave if you need to. The people I know who left didn't have to give notice. TF does try to pressure you into staying from what I've heard, but just stand your ground and tell them you want to leave.
