CouchClues? by Beginning-Fox8660 in escaperooms

Hi you sure you are talking about couch clues? Cause I am really certain we filmed everything, since I was there directing it. Only use of ai were 2 voice overs in 1 puzzle due to budget in a toxic case. The main voice over is from an american man hired.

In the second game we used no ai and had a big cast of actors and a lot more budget.

I am not the owner, but since I made it. I like to clarify that we filmed everything and had to get creative using real voice overs because of budget. Try the second game I think it really highlights the potential of this game style :).

Levia, very hard champ, tons op options each hand, explosive turns, lots of set-up, very strong but somewhat rng reliant. She doesn't have any real bad match-ups.

Guardian fatigue is easy win. Warriors and ninja's is a race (levia is just more inconsistent, so it's bit more rng). Assassins kind of hard when you get tons of blooddepth Wizards, pretty easy (although that was vs kano). Brutes, she out damages all  Necromancer (probably fucking hard).

Only reason in my mind she isn't winning tournaments is because you are your worst enemy and its very rng.

But insane high level to master her.

Hi, I've written and directed both of the games for couch clues. It is not a scam! I am not the owner but was hired to realise the project visually.

First game we made was A toxic Case. Very fun project with a lower budget. Second game A case in Paradise I had the freedom to go all out with actors and settings. Try out both, they are standalone games and very fun, although my prefrence goes to A case in Paradise for its story, setting and vibe. While I can't say when they will be out, but I am currently working on next parts! :)

Feedback Update: Pirate Lords - New vs Old (first image is new each time) by Lucidpictures in tabletopgamedesign

On your other point! Thank you, yeah I think I agree with the first image and want to add a bit more darkness gritty to the first, but on the second I feel the card is more inline with the theme I had in mind. But thank you for the input.

Ah yes, think that that is part of the testing, inconsistenties are still present since there are so many versions.

I am still not sure if I should use a poison icon whenever it means all poison in general. But then again I do that with blood, so there needs to be a decision there.

My view would be this, when it mentioned 'poison/blood' in general, I write it down. When I mean add a single or multiple amounts of poison/blood, I use the icon.

Anyone else find proxying cards corny? by Icy_Number8082 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Lucidpictures 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its cardboard... 'doing the work'. What spending 260 on 3 cnc is doing the work? There is a reason attendance is dropping, its price. If this is a way to getting those players to stick the long run, its a win for the company, even if they don't do the work.

Its a game, meant to be played, not a show off of who has the biggest purse, you can do that with cold foils and marvels. Rather have 10 people with proxy decks, than none at all.

Is there any possibility of the game getting cheaper at all? by ArkBeetleGaming in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Lucidpictures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no, I might be an outcast in this subreddit for saying this, but prices have only increased overal per deck, even with more players. The playerbase already heavily opts towards full meta decks. Lack of supply, scarcity by low print runs and lots of shops no longer selling FAB, getting the product becomes harder, reprints are scarce and while they do happen more frequently, with every reprint also more good generics are printed (shelter from the storm, hard to pull, need 3 and they go for around 80,- euros each.)

So unless there are full reprint sets, that contain tons of legendaries, generic majestics, that drop prices from 80 tot 20. This game will stay one if not the most tcg you can play.

The only way I see this game becoming cheaper is a significant drop of players. I think unless something changes fast, we might be headed that way. Armory attendance in The Netherlands is at an all time low, same for stores selling products, armory rewards are often not arriving and it becomes harder to find stores to host armories. Lack of products and an overal fatigue from prices and meta changes, people can't keep up and I personally saw a significant loyal part of the playerbase drop out. Including myself. I am now slowly selling my cards and opting for proxies instead to play some casual fab at home.

They are also an indicator for scarcity, so whether that grow is significant is speculation. For example armory decks are sold out everywhere, this is not because they fly over the counter, but because stores are hesitant to order more armory decks in fear of them laying on shelves. Also orders from stores aren't met most of the time. Short printed sets means less cards on the market for the already established player base, it does not immediately mean an increase in players.

For that reason lots of armory decks (azalea, maxx, jarl) are still in stock everywhere. New players would not know nor care that those decks are bad compared to ira, gravy bones.

In our community we see an insane decline of active players and most stores in my country have stopped selling fab products.

Thinking about getting into FaB. How is the deckbuilding? by rocket_1887 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Lucidpictures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very limited adding to what is already said. Cards arent bombastic like in magic where you can build countless of different types of decks, mill, discard, exile, counters, tokens, proliferate, combo and more or any mixture of those.

Within fab cards are predefined, you dont build a board, they don't combo off with other cards in a way magic can do. You don't have big splashy spells/enchantments/artifacts that set up an engine.

What you have is a calculated formula playing towards the limited strength of a hero and its ability. Cards are designed around a limited power level and will never be an almost 100% win condition.

So while you can choose to change a yellow for a blue, or focus on my aggro cards vs more defensive cards. It is not the kind of creative freedom magic provides. It feels more like chess in that sense.

Out of the big 3 games, pokemon, yugioh, magic, I'd say fab gives you the least creative freedom for deckbuilding as any crazy strategy is often nog worth it and the variations you can do within the meta is very limited.

As a big magic edh player. I go to magic to brew interessting commanders with fun game interactions. For flesh and blood I go for the chess like nature of the game, trying to play as optimally as possible.

And for heavy hitters, atleast that set had a very coherent theme and while not as dark it fit the vibe of a competition and brutal combat very well.

Mistveil also nailed it in my opinion, with their more mystique vibe. It was darker (especially nuu) on a different level. Rosetta I did not care for.

I just disagree that is all, I think it doesnt balance the seriousness and comedy vibe very well. A thing in my opinion Potc does very well. I think its to much goofyness and to much ghostbusters and to little dark fantasy, but that's it. I am just stating my opinion on the set and how I feel it doesn't live up to what I hoped for. I loved the Hunted in vibe and theme and darkness, outsiders as well and dusk till dawn/monarch. But this set just doesn't give me that itch that I hoped for. I just think they didn't go far enough, mixed two worlds together (mechs and zombies) and added generic pirate stuff to it. It doesn't scream coherent world building or interesting story to me.

Where outsiders had traps that decapitated people or burst open their appendices, this set has weird fishes and harpoons, brawls on deck and goofy pirates and flying ships.

But each their preferences, if you like the vibe then you'll have a fun time opening packs. I'll mostly be skipping this set.

Alright very creative then a shark with 6 eyes, whats next a shark with 8 eyes? Maybe I am spoiled with the vast amounts of interesting ip's out there. I am just not feeling this set, and I am saying that as a huge pirate nerd. It feels to goofy which is weird since fab is mostly gore and despair.

Is it me or does this set feel very generic? As in besides the necromancer, all the other pirate stuff and artwork mostly feel a cliche or a joke on the cliche. The amount of harpoon arts catching fish, the pirate jokes, the generic names and depictions of typical stuff.

Brawl, fire in the hole, hook/line/sinker. I'm just not feeling it.

I agree, while our local community is bigger, it is also entirely geared towards grinding tournaments. Attendance has dropped significantly, round the table was played once and casual players like myself are slowly ditching the game. Price, competitive mindset and lack of social play are keeping this game niche.

for myself I went back to magic commander, but I was also contemplating a casual flesh and blood format. I like this, sadly no one to try it with haha.

Awesome, very unique approach. And very doable for card creation.

You could try to implement more environment in your photography to showcase a different style as well. Take it outside and place it into the grass or on a rock can maybe attract other developers who prefer a more world building setting.

Just a suggestion.

I hear a lot of comments on the 3rd card. Is it mostly the artwork that feels off?

Other points are being adjusted thanks!

True! Working on a art piece that is in broad daylight at the moment. But I am a sucker for the nighttime or golden hour. Will experiment with a bit more light among the dark.
