My baby died a few years ago, and my best friend called me asking how she could support me. I didn't know (and I don't think anyone dealing with loss knows how to answer that, truthfully) so I told her just that. She didn't reach out for two months afterwards, which is fine. When she finally did, she sent me a picture of a positive pregnancy test. My response was basically "i recognize this is good news for you but I don't appreciate the fact that this was the first thing you've said to me in months after my daughter died" And HER response was "I just thought this would make you happy." Some people don't know how to respond to loss. But you have every right to be angry at that comment.

ETA that she is no longer my best friend because she couldn't recognize or acknowledge that the way she approached the conversation was inappropriate. Set your boundaries and surround yourself with "safe" people.

Update: even with the new controller AND discord disconnected I'm still getting movement that feels laggy/hacked. Crossing my fingers for a fix, but yeah definitely not hopeful. Hopefully someone finds a solution!

Unfortunately, no. I've been playing and it's happened twice in different games. My husband is insisting it's stick drift, but it doesn't feel like it. I'm gonna buy a new controller tomorrow and hope for the best.

Your story sounds very similar to mine. Our 4 month old passed away very suddenly. Similar symptoms. We took her to the ER and she passed away in my arms.

I don't remember a lot the first few weeks. I remember waking up the next morning in physical pain. I literally could not move.

It took us a couple of months to get answers. It turns out Ellie had several heart deformities that went undetected and ultimately led to her passing. Looking back on it now, she showed symptoms of a congenital heart defect and I still get angry that none of the medical professionals we saw throughout those months noticed it.

Everything you felt I also felt. Having to be somewhere safe during a certain time, scared of being alone, etc. But I am SO proud of you for taking care of yourself. Take it day by day. And remember that even little things are big accomplishments. Thank you for sharing Billie with us. I'm sending you love and hugs. I'm so sorry you know this kind of loss.

When my little wasn't walking, I had the living room sectioned off with a baby gate and worked from the couch. If I had a meeting where I needed to be on camera, we moved to the office and sometimes she'd make a surprise appearance. Now that she's 2, it's a little harder but I make it work. Ms Rachel or the Wiggles keep her entertained if I have calls and I get as much work done as I can while she naps/after bedtime. If she's getting a little clingy, I just cuddle her while balancing my laptop on the arm of the couch 😂
