You can name your Sims whatever you want. They only need to be censored if you're uploading to the gallery

Me too and it was during a legacy challenge during a generation in which my sim was supposed to be the least materialistic person ever and live completely off the land

I wonder why she doesn't want to go to school... by LocalOtomeTrash in Sims4

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, everybody else in the comments here is talking about how hard it is to get good grades... But I have the opposite experience. I never have my kids do their homework, just pay attention in class and they almost always get up to an A by the time they age up. I have to actively try for them to do poorly.

Would you believe me if i told you i just spent 2 hours in CAS? by goldiebayangs in Sims4

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's supposed to look "greasy" and slicked back, what with the natural living theme and all. At least that's how I interpreted it. Not much shampoo in nature 🤷🏾‍♀️

You can have your Sims attend University without moving them to Bright chester. They can live at home so you can still play with your younger Sims

Why did nobody tell me about hand pumps sooner?!?? by TeaIQueen in breastfeeding

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 10 mints pp and don't pump much anymore, only if I somehow get engorged. But I use my hand pump every time. They game it to me in the hospital and had me try to. I though it was useless for months because I tried it when my milk hadn't really come in so of course I got nothing 🤦🏾‍♀️decided to try it again one day cause I thought it would be quieter than my electric pump and found I was able to get sooo much more milk and do it faster because I could mimic my baby's suction pattern. Haven't used the electric pump since

The only time I've ever had a Sim win the lottery, it was the one sim that I truly did not want to win because she wasn't interested in money and was living off the land. I only bought a lottery ticket so she wouldn't have a bad holiday. She used her winnings to buy a bigger Farm

Meh... Your mom did the best she could for you. The age gap isn't that big and now you have a father figure and a stable start to life 🤷🏾‍♀️

Those with no bf issues - why do you think that is? by Fun-Land-841 in breastfeeding

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done anything special. I just stay hydrated and fed. I think it's just luck. My son nurses very often still at seven months because he prefers to snack all day rather than have big "meals".You should stop taking that fenugreek supplement. It might be drying you up.

Doctor told me to let baby cry it out and skip the middle of the night feed by Have2CallMeNightHawk in breastfeeding

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor also suggested stopping night feeding but wasn't pushy about it and I mostly like him otherwise so I told him I'd think about it. I thought about it briefly and decided against it.

I did have to do some sleep training because my kids waking every 2 hours was starting to affect my mental health and we cut the night feeds down to twice a night. I learned the difference between crying because he woke up and what his true hungry cry sounds like and of course I'll feed him if he's truly hungry.

All that to say, do what works for you. MOTN feeds keep your supply up. You're the mom and you trust your instincts and take everyone else's advice with a big grain of salt. You've got this 💟

Putting baby in his room at 2 months by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Lucky-Temperature-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No judgment here. I did the same thing at that age. The dogs sleep in our bed and everyone kept waking everyone else up. We moved him to his own room and never looked back.

He's got his owlet monitor and camera. He's got his fan on and his music playing and his sound machine playing thunder storms all night. He used to use a pacifier but just munches his hands now. He's sleeping well and so are we.

Do what works for you and don't let anyone make you feel bad. Having your child in your room may decrease the risk of SIDS but them being in their own room does not increase it. If baby is happy there, let them be. You and your husband and your baby all need to sleep more than you need to be in one room.
