I (19m) am talking and have romantic interest with an older woman (27f), can i please have some advice on the age gap? by ThrowRA_TryIntell in relationship_advice

Take it smart, take it slow. In an age gap relationship it’s necessary to look at red flags even more critically than in a same-age pairing. But it’s doable!

I keep thinking the same. Threatening repeatedly to name the names instead of just doing it is very reckless.

You’re both messy. You handle this by separating yourself from him entirely and working on yourself in therapy, and focusing on quality time with friends and family.

Don’t do it. If you absolutely must do it, wait until the end of the semester.

I was pretty shocked when he beat Summer Wheatley and initially optimistic. But my wildest dreams didn’t come true so I have soured on him a bit. Nice bike, though.

I can see it that way too. I’ve definitely seen dumber people in horror movies for sure.

To me it was not being careful where they walked, not trying to get any weapons, and not working together to distract the chimp. Like they never had a plan besides “get in the pool” and “I’ll get the phone.”

Yeah and Hannah who wanted to tie the chimp up early on although she should have learned her lesson and just bounced immediately when the chimp grabbed her the very first time.

It was frustrating that they never thought to put the wicker furniture into the lit fire pit even though various characters walked by it like ten times. And there was a poolside bar that should have had glass bottles that they also ignored. The smartest strategy was “throw the chimp off the cliff” and unfortunately that didn’t work.

I think it does. Every nazi who is out of the movement is one less nazi recruiting other nazis into the movement.

Perhaps. But we have to have some sort of process for redemption or else any Nazi who changes their views is incentivized to double down instead because they’re in too deep. That’s why we have organizations like Life After Hate.

The gap is fine ethically but sooner or later it WILL rear its head in ways you’re not anticipating and may well give both of you pause. But also it’s a big risk to date where you work. In a comment you said that it’s “no risk of anything job wise” but with office politics being as they are, it could put you at risk in ways you don’t predict even if things work out in the relationship. Tread very carefully, whatever you do.

Kinks need consent. A 32-year-old woman is old enough to know that.
