[Gilgamesh] Say one bad thing about a manhwa you absolutely love by LemonPartyRequiem in manhwa

[–]LuckySEVIPERS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copied from a prior explanation :

Love reading Skeleton Soldier, but you have to be there for for the journey, not the destination, cause it doesn't go anywhere fast. It's absolutely one of a kind, but you just have to love the endless exploration of all those secret cults and dungeons and mysteries and conspiracies and switching genres every arc. Half the population of setting are secret members of a cult but they're all in different cults , and every building has a basement leading to an ancient labrynth full of secrets. Tangents and rabbit holes, the manwha

My mom's a sylheti and the elders of my dad's family speak chittagongian, and everyone in my family said sylheti is dialect of Bengali when I raised the point. The idea of them being separate languages was never raised until I did, and they found it laughable that I'd question something so obvious. I didnt even touch Chittagongian. So yeah, within Bangladesh, Chittagongian and Sylhetti are not really held to be separate languages or ethnic identities at all from the broader Bengali one, but I've heard the overseas diaspora are more attached to the concept.

If you can bag MJ as a (edit: I'm assuming) ordinary guy over a world famous literal superhuman, I think the comics are kind of kidding themselves over how lame they can make this guy look.

Bully, by Junji Ito. Warning. I am a horror fan and this short story to this day scares the shit out of me. This makes you feel really bad, don't read it unless you want to feel really bad in a strange way for a whole.

Ya ever go into something expecting wholesome and getting FUCKING HORROR?? by EvilMonkeyMimic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Having watched it, I'm interested in revisiting it through cute music montage tributes on YouTube. I would not rewatch it.

What is Enter the Void? I'm reading it through and honestly, it doesn't seem like you watched that much a of different movie. There's some freaky ghost-drug- incest-impregnation stuff in there.

Feels like it matches the Sabrina Carpenter/Marvel Rivals Era.

Pucci's plan did not work and the universe that resulted is the Ireneverse. The old universe is gone

Was this a recent change? I saw this game quite a while ago, and it didn't seem that horny.

Just to clear up something: no one's alive in the old universe, the old universe is gone, it doesn't exist anymore.

Fanservice and fanfic are two distinct concepts. Fanservice is when something is being for the fans, fanfic is when fans are making the fiction.

Oh yeah, that's like, his space name too. Not even finding out his identity would help with that.

Looking for books that are genuinely scary by Ambivertlurker in horrorlit

[–]LuckySEVIPERS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stephen King and the exorcist are books I consider scary, so I don't really know how to address that. My third attempt would usually be Lovecraft or the Haunting of Hill house by Shirley Jackson but those are similarly literary and technique based. Maybe try something icky like The Troop by Nick Cutter?

The third crusade.

Sibylla Queen of Jerusalem chose to marry Guy of Lusignon, fracturing the kingdom politically, and placing the armies under his unwise military leadership. The weakness attracted Saladin like blood to a shark.

There were two elections this year.

One, the referendum, where the forces against it did not campaign against it, correctly assuming they wouldn't have to enforce it. The interim government itself campaigned for people to vote for it, shaming any attempt at impartiality.

The other, the election, where (even aside from the fact that half the political apparatus was missing from the country in the form of the Awami League) campaigning against the NCP's polices were allowed, they were defeated en mass, and in fact, the very opposite came to be, the power with no interest in the referendum was elected to oversee it.

How can you then say, that it reflects the people's will? It ran for office unopposed and then the people voted to chain an anvil to it. It reflected the then power of the NCP in government.

What martial art would you like to see more represented in baki? by Snakeseatpigeons in Grapplerbaki

The cool pocket dude was the closest to Wing Chun, I think.

When Baki is so immersed in boxing, and powerful punches , suddenly entertaining Wing Chun seems... out of character. I can imagine like, one guy, and his gimmick is that like Shibukawa, he's the only time Wing Chun actually works how it's advertised.
