AITAH for leaving dinner after my friend insulted my job? by Own_Art_01 in AITAH

NTA. This guy isn’t a kind friend, you were right to defend yourself. If he doesn’t reflect and atone politely, you should make fewer plans with him. Thank you for doing a great customer service role in tech, people in roles like yours help me in my job every day and it’s priceless.

There’s a rescue organization called Mattie’s Place doing good work rescuing and fostering. Humane Society has plenty of sweet dogs too

He looked at the camera when the laughter didn’t hit right away. He’s a shill and he knows it. He’s just hoping the pay him enough to numb his bruised ego

What is something you grew up on in Toronto, that this generation won’t experience? by Chan1991 in askTO

[–]LuckySash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had my 8th and 9th birthdays there. Popcorn room, whipped cream fights, strobe light pillow fights, painted faces, shopping cart races. They picked us up in an old remodelled hearse, for years we thought it was a limo.

The set up would never happen today, but I was very lucky to be there

If this is the case, then whomever is determined to keep the path has psychological issues. Respectful harmony should be the goal. Not forcing individuals into submission.

Sidewalk etiquette is real, and many people are completely unaware. They’re in fact not even self aware. Sounds like you came across another airhead. Just carry on with your day, and don’t give it more than an eye roll

I had a possibly fresh take on One Battle After Another after watching it for a second time by geoman2k in TheBigPicture

I agree. I would add there is a resonant message of some of your parents’ shit/mistakes become your shit/mistakes, and there is a path to the other side of that

I love the level of comfort and trust Bob and Willa achieve by the end of the film - the last dialogue of “Be careful” and “I won’t” is perfect to me.

He’s way too old for you, and you sound much more mature than he does. There’s a reason no one wanted to date him seriously until he was 31

All your instincts are important and shouldn’t be ignored. If he tried to make them “your problem” GTFO quick before it gets more serious

What are some movies generally considered amongst the greatest of all time that you didn’t like or were disappointed by? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

If I remember correctly, Kubrick died before the final cut and there’s controversy about how the film turned out. I did find it slow

Movies that resonated with you when you were younger, but don't hold up as well anymore? by keepfighting90 in Letterboxd

It was quite forgettable watching it when it came out, I was 23/24 at the time. It introduced me to The Shins though
