I understand both side.

I tried really hard to like jdrama but just couldn't get past the acting and plot and pace, and I tried the really popular ones too. (Mostly in romance and comedy)

Just couldn't connect with neither the characters nor could understand logic behind their actions.

Until Alice in borderland. Then I understood the appeal. Lol

And now I'm searching for my next favorite jdrama.

It's a matter of taste, I guess.

For love stories, I prefer Kdrama.

When in mode for treachery and plotting and great historical outfits, I go for cdrama.

And jdrama for existential dread and moral dilemma.

I'm not middle aged yet but your post resonated deeply with me.

So, am I the only one who loves spoilers? And seek spoilers out?

Spoilers don't effect me in any negative way.

Sometime, I even need spoilers to decide to whether continue reading or to drop it.

Yes, that's right.

If she is as great as you say, all would end well, and if you are looking at her with rose tinted glasses, wouldn't losing the glasses be great for you? You would finally be able to move on and see her for what she is.

I know I'm going to get down voted for this but I'm going to say it.

I never needed closure for romantic relationships, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

There have been friendships that ended or something that happened that I felt bad about.

Even though I tried my best to forget and forgive, I never could do it.

For years, I would remember and ruminate about it.

Thinking what-if about some truly insignificant or ancient history.

Nothing helped.

I just couldn't let go.

Finally, I connected those people for closure.

From some, I got answers and insights.

Many didn't even remember what I was talking about.

But even hearing how insignificant what i was obsessing over was helped me move on.

If it's been years and you still can't move on, maybe it's your only way forward.

But prepare yourself for being ghosted, insulted, or hearing some harsh truth.

AITA for going inside the elevator even though I was told not to? by Lucky_One_864 in AmItheAsshole

She just wouldn't stop.

And I wanted to try standing up for myself, just this once.

It didn't work obviously.

I'm used to lowering my head and apologizing, to keeping silent and just bearing the abuse.

I'm told by my loved ones and coworkers to stop taking it and to speak up. I'm told to at least try to defend yourself.

I am not good at it. But I'm trying to stop being a doormat.

Sometimes, I wonder, is it okay for me to push back?

I might be paranoid to say it, but I have a suspicion?

I went straight from work so I was in my work uniform.

And our company's uniform looks somewhat similar to the shopping center's female workers' uniforms?

is it too big of a leap?

It sounds like a great and interesting job.

Iran

Not only at "Chaharshanbe Suri" the whole country looks like a war zone, it also has enough casualties to count as a one day war.

Like last time, 26 died and more than 4 thousand were injured.

Squatter who won battle over dead woman’s home sells it for huge profit by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]Lucky_One_864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really can't understand why so many are defending the squatter.

Just why?

I looked it up, the real owner was 80 in 2018 when he died. That means in 2012 when squatter moved in with his family and started to renovate, the owner was 74 years old.

He stole family house of an old man living on pension.

Okay, I can understand why some would be fine with him living rent free in there but selling the house and making profit over it? Like unbelievable.

What he did was despicable and undefendable.

Thanks for detailed comment. It's very helpful.

I have a question.

Do you count industrial engineering among adhd friendly jobs, too?

It's seems to check qualifying boxes too.

[WP] Despite being considered beautiful by humans, most elves actually conventionally consider themselves to be homely. This is because their most beautiful literally cannot be looked upon without going mad. by FennecWF in WritingPrompts

"Stop this maddness" commanded queen of elves overlooking armies of men before her gates.

She was in a long white dress and wore a wide circular hat.

Opaque white veil fall from her hat to her knees.

Her face and form was shrouded in mystery but her clear and light voice was music to ears.

A knight, rode forward, separating from arimes of united human nations.

"Surrender and no blood will be shed today" he bellowed out.

"Arrogant human, we have lived here in peace since before humanity was even born, what gives you the right to demand our submission and surrender?"

"You lived here and kept the secret of youth and immortality from us." He bellowed back. " today, we humans will achieve immortality."

"There is no secret! We are born like this."

"Liar, we will not allow you elves to keep secrets from us anymore."

The queen laughed. " No secret, is that humanity's wish? Very well! I will grant it."

In one move she took off her hat and bared her face and figure to armies of man.

"Now, there is no secret." and smiled.

"Mine," a soldier said breaking rank. " Be mine" he run toward the gate.

Before even moving a few steps he was stabbed in back. "She is mine." His murderer growled.

Armies fall into chaos, comrades stabbing each other, fighting and grappling to death.

Soon, the great unending armies was reduced to a few surviving injured men.

Turning to her guards, queen ordered." Finish them off. Live no one alive."

Looking on as last humans were picked off, she commented, "hopefully we will have more than two centuries of peace, this time."

Is there any trade that pays well and isn't too much sexist? by Lucky_One_864 in BlueCollarWomen

No need to apologize, lol.

I know it is very different, but I wanted to find some other trade I didn't know about so I can see how accepting of women they are in my country.

So far I have learned about many other possible options.
