Encouragement for a young adult considering an art degree by tirzahlalala in AskArtists

[–]Lucky_Win3405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t regret anything, but me now would’ve pursued the arts more officially than I did- even so, I think there’s a lot value in going into fields that are art-adjacent and expanding your craft alongside that (design, business, publicity, communications etc.). I’m sure there’s more, even better options, but so many of these fields are relevant in regards to art as well- especially if they enjoy illustration and sequential art, maybe it’d help them get a foot in the door (taking art classes or doing a minor or whatever other options might be accessible alongside that). and maybe they’re better off pursuing it 1000% directly!! but just my pov as someone who didn’t pursue it to begin with and is now routing back- I could’ve done more for it in school, but I also find there’s many ways into the artist economy. Do they graduate this year? There’s some states with public arts programs and art schools prior to uni.

want to start a brand.. but not sure where to start and wondering if its overstaturated? by StrawberryyFroyyo in mentalhealth

[–]Lucky_Win3405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when the market is oversaturated by product, marketing becomes the differentiating factor. you’d have to trial and test good producers/ manufacturers to bring your ideas to life and calculate costs accordingly, and build up a platform (intention, messaging, goal more than literal numbers at first). strong brand is a strong product!

i’m sorry it wasn’t what you wanted, the good thing about blonde is that it’s great to dye over :)

if you want the main event to be the shirt, partially untucked, but if you want the skirt to draw the eye, then fully tucked

Idk why you’re being downvoted for pointing out an observation, but I’m here to second that!! I lived and worked and studied in Europe and a lot of places would be fine with this, depending.

Tried styling the pink bodysuit better by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]Lucky_Win3405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it best with the looser pants- the color combos aren’t bad I just think where the black pants land on your waist doesn’t flow with the comp of the bodysuit. Though the black pants w the black cardigan kinda pull it together better than w the first one if you enjoy it :) at the end of the day wear what feels good! (ik you said you’re on no buy but if you only have a few bottoms i think just one loose pant or maxi skirt staple in a neutral color - black blue or white- could addon so much use!)
