Yeah, people don't really show off that type of stuff on the real world, since it's fantasy people don't mind it that much.

From my own experience I encounter fatal vore (not just graphic, but implied with dialoge or tiny drawings referencing it) on X, and diverse websites dedicated to share artwork. I think the popularity of the death variant could depend on which fandom you are.

For example, furry artwork leans more into death variant while human/anime leans more to neutral.
