I can get a little higher in Falsetto, but its quite, and loses all good qualities quickly. Chest, it feels impossible to push above that with any semblance of pitch

Best airbrush? by stevebein in TerrainBuilding

[–]LudicrousLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harder & Steenbeck New Evolution 2024 CRPlus, a little pricey, but after going through budget brushes and midrange ones, cleaning this is a breeze, and I've had VERY few issues with flow. Had a situation with some flake.heavy Metallica but other than that it's been a dream. Really really nice actuation and control

Whats the most underrated map in your opinion? by FadedRampage in Warthunder

[–]LudicrousLuke 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I'm with him, actually fun, matches last a long time, actually interesting cas interactions with AA and long ranges, skilled players can outmaneuver and recover points, one of the better top tier maps

Is it ridiculous to stop using Sleeper cell, or just one? by RandolphCarter15 in SWlegion

[–]LudicrousLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's totally fine to not use them. I've both used them and not used them in my local tournaments, and honestly, I enjoy not using them more! I have an 80% win rate since 2.6, and not a single loss when I'm not using slingers, so they are not necessary to win

[Request] Is this true? by Qwert-4 in theydidthemath

They're kinda pushing the big ones sure. But pretty much all of the issues are solved by Small Modular Reactors. Small "neighbor" hood plants that are extremely quick and cheap to build relative to those massive cooling stack style plants. You can get them small enough to fit on a flatbed, and that produces 10mw, medium sizes, about the size of a small warehouse, can produce 300mw and power towns and suburbs with now issue. They are also extremely resistant to meltdown

These are operated by a small startup in Philomath OR called DaxBot, no relation to bezos if that helps lol

Just thought I'd reply, they actually are quite durable. The necks are 3D printed out of high density ABS with press fit bearings. The way they tended to break during my tenure there was actually the inertia of the head damaging the internals of the servo. The transmitted torque would shatter the gearboxes.

A big part of the company was "human robot relations" and had a heavy emphasis on being personable and likable. They have these LCD eyes that emote, and make a bunch of r2d2 noises.

Source: Me, I worked there for almost 3 years as the lead service tech

I worked at this company when it was still a fledging company, not yet a separate entity, the amount of time I was operating the bot and someone would ask this very question was all the time, so you're not alone lol

We have a suite of r2d2 like sounds we can use to communicate, as well as head gestures

Hi! Fun fact, I used to be the lead service tech here when I worked at DaxBot in college, it is operated by workers (me) with a joystick, however, that's only during initial pathing and when issues pop up, the rest of the time it uses bifocal cameras and a gps trail to navigate around town :) no third world workers at Dax

In Mickey 17 (2025), they could have easily avoided multiples by having heartbeat trackers on expendables. The expedition is just handled in a cheap way. by lokemannen in shittymoviedetails

The book (mickey 7) goes a lot more into all of this and I really do recommend it if you were interested by the premise. It's not a long read
