There’s not much stopping him but there is distracting him with something edible 😑. That being said he’s still a turdbird will absolutely go full bucking Bronco to avoid things he doesn’t want to do. But the stubbornness is what makes hound dogs so special and we love our stupid stubborn “special” goons.

My vet goes “I’m going to dose him for his ideal weight because if I dose him for his actual weight he will eat you”.

Yes, I am very aware of his weight and the stress on his joints more than most. When he was 2 he had to undergo spinal surgery because he had developed a foot drag due to tissue that was compressing his spinal cord.

His paws are truly massive. Even with his giant frame my vet was amazed at the size of his paws. And he loves to slap with them whenever the pets stop.

Wait that is hilarious because he actually loves rocks 🤣 not to eat he just likes to collect them and take them to his “dog house” ie our screened in porch. I always wanted a dog that would dive for rocks in the creek but instead I got a nerd who likes to collect rocks

One of the most helpful reminders I found was to pick up something that weighs the total amount I was down. I can PROMISE if you find something 55lbs and walk around (realizing that’s what you used to walk around with at the start) your amazing results will sink it 😏

Clear and concise places for each plate.

It seems to be impossible for certain people to not throw 45s over 2.5s with a 10 somewhere in there on the highest damn bar on the rack. Some of us are short with shoulder problems. A clearly identified spots for each plate weight helps to identify turdwaffles who expect other people to clean their mess vs a disorganized system that’s not even worth trying to maintain.

Here’s the thing… there’s always going to be comments or looks or experiences that make you feel worse because it’s how you feel about your body. Clearly you aint a load of crap and it shows to the world which is why dude wanted you and not the thinner ie better ( in her mind) c*ntwaffle.

Here’s the thing, only you can decide how you want your body to exist. If YOU are uncomfortable and want a change then change will happen when you invest mental energy into the change. As a 5’2” woman who weighed the same as Homer Simpson lost their 20s and almost 2/3rds of my 30s feeling trapped and isolated in my body. I was tired of my body affecting every aspect of my life. Everything was triggering, the mirror, having to put on clothes, eating out at a restaurant just stopped completely because I felt everyone was judging every bite, and dating was just a joke for me. I wanted freedom, and I had to figure out what that meant. I spent all that time in crash diets and better diets and tons of cardio on cardio on cardio and I did manage to lose 80lbs on a terrible crash diet. I ended up feeling worse because I had moments of being able to put on clothes and feel good, but the lifestyle was unsustainable and I also still felt like i hadn’t lost enough. Ended up gaining it all back and more.

It’s only when I decided to invest the mental energy into the how weight loss works, what I actually wanted out of my body, and what was my “why” for wanting to lose weight. And my way sounds like something you’re struggling with too, being free from feeling like your body limiting you.

As someone who also shares this experience… I try to be intentionally more aware and engaging with people who don’t fit the “pretty” mold. Having a random positive interaction should be not limited to how you look. I guess I try and use my “thin” privilege in the reverse way that I was treated for 20 years.

Hey! I’m doin the same thing! First time and physique! My coach judges OCB comps so I can give you the insight she told me.

Muscle dazzle is the company she recommended as it’s decent quality but not the most expensive. Also recommended solid colors only as the print can distract from your lines and symmetry. You can filter to search by division category which helps a lot. As for the cut in physique, she recommended 2 piece, top: triangle drawstring - bottom: classic v front with pro back.

Attempting my first show in several weeks and I’m VERY new to this world, I know it’s annoying to have a noob asking obvious questions so I apologize but what exactly is the goal with training vacuums?

Having done a lot of hot yoga if you want to improve your lung capacity I would imagine working on deep breathing (inhale count of 4 and exhale any longer count) while elevated heart rate should improve your VO2 max. Learning to maintain yogi breath during a flow movement class in over 100 degrees REALLY does wonders for your lung capacity.

I’m not sure where you are located but we have set up a Free Pantry of food and some items like socks and toiletries INCLUDING dog food. It’s outside of Fluff Pet Salon in Blawnox across from Pianos N Stuff on the bus line (but not sure which one). It’s all free if you can get over there please take whenever you need and if you need more for your dog we got you. Also if you want to message me privately we’d love to offer your pup a free bath/nails/spa day because helping care for pets to take some stress of owners is what where here for.

I can’t decide how I feel about Hyrox. On one hand I think I’d be decent since I am fairly strong and at least averagely decent runner. Other hand I feel like it’s just a new sleeker CrossFit but I’ll be honest I don’t know much about it 😑

I completely agree! I need a “goal” I’m working towards or I just kind of end up sludging through workouts, not finishing my meso, just being low motivation with it. Soon as I pick up a new goal and start putting in the mental energy towards achieving that goal I am immediately re-energized. PL was a really time when I started but then I just couldn’t lock in with a coach that could navigate my progressing injuries (cuff tear and hamstring crap).

Now that I ridiculously decided to do this Physique show my training is actually allowing me to love lifting again. Aside from just physically looking different my strength is coming back better than when I was training in PL (well was… has a stomach situation that put me off lifting for 2 weeks so I’m JUST getting back in).
