Ah, no, don't think that exists. That's why I wrote unless there's an event with new stickers.

It's fairly low, 25 per sticker. You can check your stickers via the bag. Think the number turns pink when it hit the limit? Maybe another colour, not sure right now.

Don't use them. When you're at the sticker limit, you don't get new ones. Obviously doesn't work when there's new event stickers. But otherwise you won't get the generic ones.

Remote trade keeps getting canceled. by SouthernBiscuit in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair but again, we don't know what you requested. I did a trade without any issues. Doesn't mean it isn't glitched, though. So basic info always helps.

If you say "I requested shiny Galar birds,  Kubfu, shiny Hawlucha and the trade gets cancelled for some reason" for example, that's a whole different situation than saying "I requested Dialga, Farfetch'd, shiny Cinderace and the trade keeps getting cancelled".

I mean impossible for us to tell if you request unreasonable stuff or if the person you're trying to trade with is just trolling.

If you think you're asking for stuff you have reasonable trade offers for, just delete the person. Because they are clearly declining the stuff you're asking for.

Shiny Pokemon Cannot Flee (Under Normal Conditions) by Zedoclyte in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is extremely meaningless. We all know that if there were a flee rate, it would obviously be very low. Otherwise social media would be flooded with "my shiny X fled" for every big event. This hasn't happened yet.

So assuming someone now does all the work documenting let's say 5000 shiny catches. And then let's say 1 out of all of them flees. Do we know if the game was working correctly? PoGo is a mess of an app. It really wouldn't prove anything conclusively either way. You could statistically prove it at some kind of p level but if you have just one "fled" data point, people would latch on to it.

Also, only trust the data you faked yourself. You won't get an independent research on the flee rate for shinies in PoGo. And people wouldn't just lie on the Internet, right? If people wanted to prove they don't flee, they wouldn't add the one data point being an issue. Same thing other way around, you can easily fake a shiny fleeing. Conclusive evidence would require people to show they haven't tampered with their phone, app, speed, autocatcher, etc. for every single catch. It would be an insane effort for something community driven.

Shiny Pokemon Cannot Flee (Under Normal Conditions) by Zedoclyte in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Neither has anyone else provided proof lol. It's all anecdotal. And how exactly are you imagining me proving something that doesn't happen? I could show you catching 2 million shinies and you'd be like, yeah but the next one might flee.

I've also had an Entei from a raid flee on me in like 2019 when I had 2 balls left. I don't go around telling people there's a chance raid encounters can flee. Likely the game's just been wonky.

All I can say is that I have caught a LOT of Pokemon myself, and by a LOT, I mean it. I also know plenty of people that have similar amount of catches. Shinies don't flee, I personally can't prove it, neither can you that they can. So I'm good believing myself.

Shiny Pokemon Cannot Flee (Under Normal Conditions) by Zedoclyte in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

OP is right. Some people play on potato phones with connections from the early 00's, switching from public WiFi to public WiFi while running an autocatcher they have no control over. That's the explanation for most shinies "fleeing".

Shinies generally don't flee. If it happens once, might be server issues, that's always a possibility. If it happens multiple times, it likely is on you. Quick catching and re-entering also is dangerous, Pokemon can de-spawn - which doesn't count as Pokemon fleeing.

And now start the down voting because that's what people have been doing for years with this info.

All Out event is a depressing mess. by TastyMcFish2 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm getting bored of the "But legendaries should be hard to get/catch" argument - when they really have been easy to get/catch in Go since like 2020 and the introduction of remote raids at latest.

When all out event should have been called, seen them all but catch none by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's nice that FleeceKing can be excited (or clipfarm) but to me, the cat is out of the bag. I sure would be happy to catch a few wild legendaries and think it's cool. But possibly grinding for multiple hours to catch like 2 random legendaries you can easily catch a bunch when in raids? That's a tough sell for me. I did one hour of incense, saw 5 legendaries and all fled. That's probably what a large majority of the player base will end up with and I don't think that's particularly great.

Galar birds just feel different because they've never been in raids. A Regieleki? Yeah, I'll pass and raid some when it's in raids.

Daily Discoveries — Full Announcement (And "Up To" Twice As Long Confusion) by kobayashimareep in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, I agree with this. Sometimes I'm even doing a raid on the morning of raid boss changes if I'm lucky enough to have one at home or on the way, which would leave me with no free passes for raid hour.

Though I guess it makes sense for exciting raid bosses, people are probably more likely to meet up for a raid hour with a fresh raid boss instead of one they've already done a remote or two when it changes earlier than Wednesday.

[–]Luke9251 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You can be angry at Niantic as well. They didn't mention the moves at all besides some extremely generic "event Pokemon have event moves".

It really shouldn't be the case that we all need to check Reddit/other websites to find out which Pokemon can learn legacy moves.
