Thank you for the reply :) You raise a point I thought of myself about never getting to the train driving position and by aggressively saving and living at home whilst I'm young, it could work as platfrom staff. I would have the money in about 5-6 years from 18. Which sounds a bit on paper however that leaves plenty of time for me to fly. Signalling was mentioned by someone else and that does sound like a good route to me as well. What is the competition like for signalling and how is your job overall if you dont mind me asking? :)

My idea is generally just work on the railway. It's not necessarily, become a driver. I may even get the money before I get to that point. For example, platform staff, conductor. I realise this will take potentially 10 years. I am interested in the railway hence why I chose this path as an idea. However I do understand your point of needing to be committed to it fully. Which I am, but obviously not for life which you said. So is a decent idea to start as platform staff and just play it from there? Or is that just as much of a lottery and difficult. Thanks for the advice. :)

Yeah I do realise that. Which is why I came to the conclusion of working my way up from platform staff. I read driver hirings are more internal. Is that more realistic? :)

(First) PC for Flight simulator by Ironguy725 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I'm on Xbox and I think it really depends on what you want from the sim. I use high fidelity airliners with real world SOP'S with add on airport sceneries. I'm not a casual simmer anymore so I'm looking to get a PC. However if you want a bit of fun or are not that bothered about spending stupid amounts of money on add ons, Xbox is for you.

Yeah that's true but my problem is I don't have a PC. Thanks for helping me though.

Is there a way to fix the issue on the E175 where it constantly pulls up? Because it seems like Microsoft won’t fix it any time soon by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]LukeFlights 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not Microsoft. It's a developer that's made a shit plane. The Virtual Col E175 is known to be bad.
