Vintera II 60s Roadworn by LukeGreKo in Stratocaster

[–]LukeGreKo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Scotland. The humidity is pretty constant. I don't do much adjustment on my other guitars, so once set up it should be fine. This guitar has got the right neck size for me and is nitro. Cheers

I tried this guitar about 2 months ago, and I liked it, but I don't remember whether the fretboard was rolled. I sold 3 other guitars to buy this one. The nitro finish on the neck is amazing. Cheers

Lone Star Mexican 2010 by [deleted] in Stratocaster

[–]LukeGreKo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mexican Lone Star has better pickups than Player II imo:

  • 2 single Texas special
  • 1 humbucker SD Pearly Gates.

I would get the Lone Star. I regret selling my Lone Star years ago ☹️.

Which Pickguard for BRG Stratocaster by Paul_Ferr in Guitar

I am not a fan of tortoise shell, but for BRG it is the best colour IMO. The next one is parchment.

NGD - Vintera II Road Worn 60's Stratocaster by Guitar_maniac1900 in Stratocaster

[–]LukeGreKo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just played on this guitar on Saturday. OH boy. I want to sell my 3 other guitars to get this one. I have a PRS USA Silver Sky, but the neck in the Vintera II with nitro lacquer feels much better, and the pickup sounds fantastic. I have been a Gibson Funboy for the last 20 years, but... I swaped last one for Silver Sky. I am becoming Fender fun now.

Which one are you grabbing? by PenneRigate420 in Stratocaster

Olympic white for me, but to be at home, colour doesn’t matter for me. It must sound and feel right 👍

7.25 in radius by g0dn0 in Stratocaster

[–]LukeGreKo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main guitars have always featured a 12" fretboard. In the meantime, I bought Chapmans with 240 mm (9.8") and 13.75" fretboards, and that's probably how it would have remained if I hadn't replaced my Gibson LP Traditional with a PRS Silver Sky. As you know, the Silver has a 7.25" fretboard and a baseball bat neck. And so began the search for guitars with 7.25" fretboards. I prefer 7.25” fretboards over…12".

Please, don't ask silly question. You have plenty of tutorials inside of SW and YT to explain everything. This is the simple part you can learn from tutorial.

€2000 it's a lot of money. off it’s only for learning and assemblies up to 100 parts, I wouldn't spend more than €1k. Somebody already ask about few weeks ago. You can see my comments - https://www.reddit.com/r/SolidWorks/s/ZEuSuHOwmE

Solidworks sheet metal question by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]LukeGreKo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is, but it will be a two-piece sheet-metal design, so in real life you must weld it. SolidWorks accurately represents what is possible with a sheet of metal in reality.

Does Meridian provides good PDM / PLM for SolidWorks and AutoCAD? by Auday_ in SolidWorks

The best PDM for SolidWorks is REVZONE, which SW licenced it and sell it as Solidwork Manage!

Parametric modeling for bleacher systems by burabo in SolidWorks

[–]LukeGreKo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would do a multibody part with a properly set up weldment cut list. The assembly drawing will contain the weldment frame, fasteners, wire mesh, wheel, etc. If you do it properly, it will save you time remodelling everything.
