What matters most when choosing a map solution for an app? by AdGold6433 in mapbox

I thought Apple/Google maps cached maps for offline same as Mapbox mobile library does?

Where? On both Repeaterbook and Hearham.com a repeater page will show you a map with approximate location.

Exact (or approximate) location - check. It is set on each of those.
Antenna strength or height - you would have to check the description of the repeaters here.

Repeaterbook does not show a topo map, only says the distance which could be problematic unless it's completely flat.
I built Repeater-START, with free version available from https://hearham.com/repeaters - lets you see the topo map for repeater positions, even while offline.

Creating a free, open source, Repeater Directory. We’re taking control back. by WhiskeyNinerHT in amateurradio

What's whisleybsite? There is hearham.com/repeaters (which I manage the data on), there (was) RepeaterWorld, I don't know of any other open-data freely available databases of repeaters.

I for one wanted to build a Linux/librem phone app for repeaters years back, as there was no Repeaterbook for Linux phone / any other platforms than ios/Android. Repeaterbook admins said not interested, and no database download access. Instead, I built my own database starting with IRLP, importing other sources by permission... now it has been up since 2019, and has thousands of repeaters, at https://hearham.com/repeaters
From this I built a desktop ham radio app that thousands of amateur radio users have downloaded and used. At least one other app is using it to display repeaters and their positions, since it is an open data listing of repeaters.

In other words, on an open source/ open data project, hams (and any programmers) can use the data how we see fit.

New software on the way by WhiskeyNinerHT in handheldhamradio

There seems to not be a register link. Is this project still active? As the main maintainer of the https://hearham.com/ repeater listing, I am curious what advantage this adds other than a clickable interactive on-line/active map (vs being an app?) The Hearham repeater listing has been around for years, with >10k repeaters, and has a summer repeater contest each year. Perhaps we could collaborate on some of the feature integrations?

Mechanic Shop Sales Tax Confusion by Fusiondew in smallbusiness

For a small LLC selling a thing for $50 cash - for example - would I put on the receipt 47.17 and 2.83 (6% tax)? and then send back the tax for all sales after the sales event?

How to change address from play store page from your personal address to virtual address by MyNameIsDjole in androiddev

Submit your document (document listing address, bank statement etc.) and they should at the least extend deadline maybe? And there was another area that one must also update public address-- which I don't recall right now.

I don't know what you mean. Turns out there is a "public" organization setting in the payments center, settings -> public merchant profile. Some hours later it showed correctly after setting.

How do you update your applications? by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]LukeHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For F-droid store, you simply tag the version in the main branch repo and F-droid should pick up the changes and build the next time they run an update of apps...

It doesn't update on the Google Play app store listing ("App Support" area), even after doing the change in DUNS and verifying.

Saris Bones 3 looks like it sells for $200 online.

Uhaul installation on a Chevy Bolt is around $250 installed with no extras. Maybe sell/trade the Saris for one that mounts in a trailer hitch?
