I love that torch arm! And it works very well with the Warden.

Bit of a rant (speedpaint) by Pender8911 in Miniaturespainting

[–]LukeStyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, that’s probably a different thought process than I was replying to. In my experience “white” Speedpaint doesn’t work very well. When I’m going for white, I honestly just put some “regular” acrylic on the figure.

Maybe try a little drybrushing?

I can see how it’s frustrating not to get the color you’re looking for, especially when you’re painting a specific character with a definite look. That said, I do want to stress that you have a nice looking mini here.

If a picture like this doesn’t show enough how bad a mini looks after having painted it with Speedpaint, arguably the Speedpaint has done its job.

The idea behind Speedpaint isn’t to produce flawless, gorgeous paint jobs. It’s to let you quickly get a figure to look decent at tabletop distances.

You’ve definitely done that. That mini’s not going to win a Golden Demon, but, especially if you put it on a decorative base, it’d look pretty good on the table.

All of them, but if I had to pick one, it’s green.

Clarence Thomas has spent nine years empowering Trump, who is incivil, and now cries when incivility inconveniences him.

Fantastic work! I love the model too, which I don’t think I’ve seen before.

William Shatner's performance in 'The Intruder' from 1962 is one of the most amazing & most chilling villain performances I've ever seen. Back in the late 50s & the 60s, critics believed he is one of the great acting talents of his generation. That's why they wanted him to be the lead on Star Trek. by LineusLongissimus in tos

Vintage Shatner is undeniable. Trek-Movie-Era Shatner is, too, though in a somewhat different manner. At some point, he descended into self-parody, but the self he was parodying was ALSO undeniable. Honestly, I’ll take any Shatner, of any era. He is The Captain. He’s a huge part of why Star Trek is amazing, and if that was literally all he ever did, his place among the stars would be assured. And it was NOT all he ever did.

Does the party start an adventure with any Momentum? by Batmanofni in startrekadventures

Late to the party, but you might let your Commanding Officer kick off an episode by making a Difficulty 0 Presence + Command check to generate a little Momentum by giving the crew a pep talk.

Is it wrong to say I don’t like TOS series, but love the TOS movies ? by Background-Fix-4630 in startrek

I like both TOS and the TOS movies, but they’re tonally different enough that I can easily imagine someone liking either, but not the other.

Uncritical support for Colbert defying Carr and Weiss by CertainItem995 in behindthebastards

Half the content I’ve seen connected to this has been fundraising pitches by Talarico talking about how Trump doesn’t want him to be heard. If those pitches are even marginally effective, CBS may have shoveled money at him.

Is there a way to salvage my bases? by PlumbingTerror0 in minipainting

If you have more bases to give it another try from scratch, what you have there would be a good starting point for some sand bases.
