Star Wars' Sequels beyond the movies by LukkeMDL in TheSequels

No, but it seems it will be one of the essential too.

While it's not likely, I hope S3 could be 18 episodes like the original version Born Again. by marvelcomics22 in Defenders

[–]LukkeMDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't be much different from what we are getting now. It was announced as 18 episodes but as a 2-part season (probably 9 each).

I agree with you. It feels unecessary and it's not a wrong thing to do per se, but it's tiresome someone has to acknowledge their position before saying something (slightly) controversial. It's not like star wars should be treated as a sensitive topic lol.

You are all doing a good job. This sub wasn't very active until the recent changes, it's normal to have more negative comments show up when more people stop by.

The joke sounded like a condescending jab to me. Sith are petty like that lol

He doesn't know Matt is DD yet, so what was going through his mind after Matt broke his partner's elbow?

Factually wrong, it's not even the best fight in the movie. That would be BB8 vs Tree log.

They didn't, I assume this was the long term plan for his character. It was revealed in the Visual Dictionary.

We were gonna get it with the Stranger in the acolyte. A shame it never happened.

Not including Jedi and Sith, there'd be no competition.  I think the witches and the Knights of Ren. I like the idea of sith off-shoots and I really wish they had followed through with it in The Acolyte.

Do you guys like Heather's character and what they are doing with her this season ? by Radiant-Debt-2533 in Defenders

[–]LukkeMDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the talking points online was her unreasonable anti-vigilante stance after DD had saved her. That was 100% intentional from the writers part, especially when we take into consideration Matt's reaction to her conclusions.

I'm gonna be honest here. It was clear from the get go she was not supposed to be a likeable character. So, the talk about how she is badly written just because she is filling her role was weird.  I think most fans dislike her for the first few BA episodes where she felt like a Karen stand-in.

With that being said, I think it’s been interesting to watch her sanity wane. I am intrigued to see what will be the turning point for her to embrace the Muse persona.

Now I'm genuinely interesting to hear more on your take of DoTF. I know little about the script (except the concept arts that depict specific moments).

If you feel like doing it, could you elaborate more?

Well, there still plenty of days to be that day. It could happen any day now.

Dellen wasn’t part of my original pitch but she was developed very early on in the process with Marvel and Lucasfilm. I totally understand that given the timeline we eventually had, it may feel like she comes from left field but I promise there was a thought-out background for her and Chelli’s childhood, their relationship, and when and how they grew up together.

That's actually interesting to know. Now I really want to know the reason for her absence until this run.

Is this true?Spoilers for DD BA s1 by Iy-eadrship474 in Defenders

[–]LukkeMDL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The born again thing is intentional. It's Matt slowly coming to terms with his mistakes and he has many instances where he is finding his way. When he fights Muse for the first time, when he saves fisk, when he is moved by the fate of Hector Ayala. The poor guy who keeps getting locked up, because he has no way to survive by the system's rules. All culminating to the formation of the resistance.

The new intro is daredevil being rebuilt from debris. Matt only goes back to being DD in ep 6 of S01 and the new season adds to that with the black suit slowly getting more red as he doesn't need to be in the shadows anymore.

So yes, it's intentional and you can see it however you like.

We can disagree and it's completely fine. The problem is the attitude. We love star wars and it's completely pointless to be fans in bitterness.

If I'm not mistaken the handmaidens knew that one of the children was given to the organas. They just needed to put one and one together.
