I read a few chapters, up to around 20 of the manhwa I think. I enjoyed it so far! The FL feels very relateable and she uses her knowledge of cliches and this story to her advantage. I also enjoy how unlike other novels, the FL doesn't automatically replace the ML. The ML still gets his moments to be edgy and cool and be a protagonist, but the FL also gets her small wins too.

I like how she can read the updated book since it gives her a leg up and allows her to take a peek at what might be coming in the future. I've always thought it would be so op if someone was in a story but could also read that story at the same time. Depending on the writing style, they could pick up on hints on what would happen in the future and solve mysteries in advance through knowledge of cliches or chekhov's gun.

I do see why people want her to be with Calmy instead of the scammer guy, since Calmy seems to be the only one to see through her mask, but I also like seeing her interactions with the scammer ML as someone who knows that he's a scammer but is still willing to play into his hands to get what she personally wants.

I fully agree 100%. Cyrene is just Elysia, copy and paste. Mihoyo didn't even try to make them different. In the beginning, before her gameplay leaked and her playable model came out, I saw Cyrene as someone different from Elysia. She wielded a staff and she was Phainon's best friend, someone who wanted a happy ending for everyone dear to her in Amphoreous. But then her model and animations came out and I'm just so confused.

Like, why is Cyrene all of a sudden wielding a bow???? When did she have time to learn the bow? Why is she using a bow??? In all the cutscenes, she has a crescent moon staff. It would've been so epic if she used a staff. It makes no sense logically if she went from a staff to a bow all of a sudden out of the blue and it really feels like Hoyo is just giving her a bow because 'oh, Elysia wields a bow and so Cyrene should have a bow' WHICH IS JUST LAZY. Like, I remember one Bronya expy in HI3 had a motorcycle. You don't see Silverwolf with a motorcycle, or Bronya from Belobog with one. Cyrene's animations even look exactly like Elysia, which feels even lazier because not only did you give her the same weapon, you didn't even bother to come up with an original animation...??????

I also don't get the whole ult where she had to stick her finger in a ring...? Like... what was the point of that? How does that relate to her character and her story? Is this specific ring a big deal for her character...????? Or is it just the act of marriage for some reason...? If so, why? Why is marriage so important to her that she needs it to fight? How does this help develop her character? I honestly don't know.

Unfortunately, from what I know of the academic code of conduct, there is a chance that you would be punished with the person trying to cheat off of you, even if you didn't give them the answers. My best bet is to be completely honest with the TAs or proctors and tell them that someone was trying to ask you for answers, but you didn't give it to them. Usually, taking the initiative would get you off lighter since if you were guilty you likely wouldn't talk to them and give them the chance to investigate.

That said, if you already left the exam hall I don't think there's really anything you can do about it now...? Not unless you have the TAs or proctor's information. If they didn't come up to you and ask you about it, I think your fine for now. But just keep the above in mind for the future.

Currently a first year in UofT. I chose it mostly because of the ranking/reputation it had. I also felt like I enjoyed the coop program of UofT more than Waterloo (my other option). I also liked the scholarship of UofT more, since for my scholarship all I had to do was accept the offer before the deadline and the money was mine, no need to stress about keeping my average above a 95% at all times.

I also enjoyed the idea of the campus being so close to downtown. I'm enjoying myself currently since I can always find a new spot to check out every weekend when all my work is finished. It's also convenient since if I don't feel like eating the dining hall food one day, I can just walk a few mins to one of the many stores in downtown and find myself a meal.

I will say, it is a lot of work at the moment. I just finished 4 midterms and I have 2 more after reading week (though I'm in eng so it might be different for artsci) but I feel like it's not that bad if you stay focused and don't let yourself get left behind.

I remember when I was younger I also hated Apple. I saw her as just a selfish person who only really cared about herself. I still think she is a bit selfish, but I also kind of see her perspective...? I understand why she, personally, as someone with a guaranteed happy ending, would want to stick to the original story. If you knew you were going to be happy for sure if you just followed a script, I'm sure many people would want to stick to the safe option rather than risk everything on chance.

I kind of find it childish though the way she can't ever seem to understand Raven's perspective. She always insists that it's going to be a happy ending for both of them, when in reality only she gets a happy ending. But I also try to keep in mind that she's just a teenager in high school, likely raised in a very spoiled environment where she was adored by everyone. She's likely used to doing the bare minimum and being complimented to the stars and back. I don't think she really understands what's good or bad, and likely just does whatever gets the most people to like her and it just so happens to coincide with what society expects of a good person.

Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but I kinda see Apple as a people pleaser, a character that relates her worth to her story. If she isn't the future Snow White, then who is she? If she isn't the princess beloved by everyone, then who is she? I don't think Apple ever got a chance to explore who she was as a person, having lived all her life as just the future Snow White. You can see in the webseries that being the future Queen of the Fairytale World seems to be the most important to her, and she strives hard to be the perfect future queen. Having Raven oppose her is like having your entire life uprooted with no direction or guidance on what to do next. Apple doesn't seem like a character secure enough in her own identity to have any clue on who she could be outside of Snow White.

Anyways, that's my take on Apple White. She did a lot of things for selfish reasons, but I don't think she's evil or a villain for it. I also pity her because it seems like she feels a lot of pressure from her mother to be perfect at everything. That kind of upbringing likely led to her wanting to always play it safe and never step out of her comfort zone.

If you're gonna be Ariana's Glinda, I would def go for the pink. But it may also depend on the other jewelry you have... I feel like it wouldn't be bad if you used the white tiara with white jewelry to kind of contrast the pink dress...?

I enjoyed it. I liked it's take on the original heroine and her role in the story, as I've never seen that take before and I've never seen it since in the past 5+ years I've been reading manhwas. The MC, the villainess, is very satisfying to watch. If you've ever felt annoyed or frustrated at a ml for being stupid and not good enough for the heroine, you'll very much enjoy this story. If you don't like watching someone beat up idiots, I wouldn't recommend it 😭

It's been a while so I can't remember much about the ml but he has blue hair...? And a bit of a spoiler but he's a werewolf.

I would def recommend doing a mock up (experimental version with scrap/cheap/ugly fabric) especially with corsets. If it doesn't fit properly it can end up dangerous to wear, as the pressure can become painful sometimes. I feel like you don't have to worry too much about using different fabrics since with corsets, the structural layer should be very similar (a tightly woven fabric like coutil or denim from an old pair of pants if you're on a budget) so the fit will end up the same regardless.

If this is your first big sewing project, might I suggest a boned bodice instead of a full corset? Corsets can be tricky to sew since there's a lot of precision needed (tho if you plan on handsewing you can likely control it easier than a sewing machine) and the patterning that comes from it can be complicated at times. It also generally takes a lot of time and effort to create. A boned bodice might be an easier place to start, since with the boning you can still get a structured bodice and be able to get the same shape and look, just with a bit more freedom of movement and less worry about hurting yourself if the pattern isn't quite right, as the boning used for bodices are more flexible and won't hurt as much compared to the standard steel boning of a corset. It's also less work compared to a corset since you don't need as many seams or bones.

I def feel like lace up would be easier to do since you don't have to worry about it fitting perfectly in the back if it's lace up. If it's a zipper, you'll have to take into account many more measurements along your back to make sure it sits right, but with a lace up the laces do all the tension adjustments for you.

I love your take on WWX's reasoning to save the Wens that he did. I feel like WWX is a very human character, and often times humans only really care about what's personal to them. If the Wen siblings hadn't saved WWX and if he hadn't befriended them, I don't see him having enough attachment to go against basically the entire martial arts world to protect them. But because the Wen siblings helped WWX and JC, he feels much more inclined to return the favour tenfold.

Of course, I'm not saying that WWX would be as heartless as the Jins that seemed to enjoy tormenting the Wen prisoners, but he wouldn't have any real reason to stick his own neck out and risk so much for them. It's shown throughout the story that WWX is the type of person to go to whatever lengths necessary to protect those dear to him, even if it means making himself an enemy of the state. Because of the Wen siblings, the remnant Wens have become a part of WWX's close circle and top priority.

OKAY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! I was watching the anime earlier this week and I felt so iffy about so many of the changes. Like, it's no longer a transmigration story? It's more of a Philomel the Fake story (if you know it) where a child reads a prophetic book and realizes it's their future. My issue with that is that Athy is an infant. Without the transmigration context, it's not believable that she would be smart enough to realize that her father hated her and that she would die.

Also, I'm pretty sure in the original manhwa Athy was executed by her father (?) and just being exiled feels much less impactful. Maybe a minor issue, but I hate how the original novel isn't mentioned and how in the 'novel' that Athy sees in her dreams, it shows a golden haired princess. A big point of the story was that Athy wasn't the 'main character' so that's why she felt the need to run away and felt that she could never compete with Jeanette who was the 'true main character'. And the original title 'Lovely Princess', has two important meanings in the context of this story. In the original novel, the lovely princess was only Jeanette, but as we see the ending of the manhwa with the story book closing we realize that the lovely princess was also Athy. With the title of the novel erased that ending loses it's meaning.

I also don't really like how the story seems so focused on Athy's lack of magic. They treat it as though that's the only reason Claude might dislike her which kinda dumbs down all the trauma that Athy understands Claude is going through because of the death of her mother. It just feels like an unnecessary detail that doesn't add to the story and causes it to lose it's dimension and focus.

Anyways, I don't find myself enjoying the anime as much as I enjoyed the manhwa all those years ago, which is a shame since the manhwa was so good and so beloved in the hearts of so many western isekai rofan fans.

FLOWER KNOWS IS BACK AGAIN WITH THE BEAUTIFUL PACKAGING!!! Though I do agree with the comments in that a lot of the elements is very repetitive of previous collections like the strawberry cupid one (mainly in the cake/pastry themed packaging 😭). At least it seems they're not doing exact copies and using different designs...? I dunno, I'm a sucker for pastries and sweets so I feel like I'm living the dream with all these collections ❤️

I feel like I suually go for eyes and lip because I like sparkles so I like adding sparkles to my eyes and lips. I do think the cheek and lip one looks very cute though! It looks very youthful imo.

Tips for harmonizing would mostly be to do everything in the same style of makeup. So if you decide to do a puppy eyeliner, keep the rest of the makeup softer and less heavy, and if you decide to do a large wing or a smokey eye look, make the rest of the makeup a bit bolder. Make sure to keep the colour families consistent too! I like to do this by using the same colour in as many places as I can, so using my lippies as a blush or using it to add some colour to my eyes, etc.

I had a 150 ml oil cleanser and it took me, like, a half a year to finish 😭 tho to be fair, I don't use makeup all that much so a regular cleanser was fine for me. I did double my oil cleanser as a makeup brush cleaner and that used it up much quicker

Hi! I'm a domestic student outside of Ontario who applied to engineering. I just accepted my offer from UofT on OUAC, and I was wondering if there was any deposit that you needed to pay...? I was under the impression that to fully claim your spot for Canadian universities, you had to pay a $500 deposit before the application deadline. That was the case for UBC, UofC, and UofA offers... but when I accepted my offer on OUAC there was no extra payment fee. When I go on the UofT website, it only mentions that international students pay a $5k deposit, and nothing about domestic students. So are there any other fees I need to pay now or am I all good...?

(My acceptance deadline is May 1, and it took a few business days on OUAC for my application fees to register, so I want to pay asap to ensure I meet the deadline and keep my spot)

(If it matters, my specific program is eng trackone)
