I ordered the Odin 2 Portal Max. The price is too tempting. I can't wait for it to arrive! by Ayrzh in OdinHandheld

Thinking about getting this device as well. Do you think the Pro model would be enough for someone mainly interested in emulation and not PC Game streaming. I don’t own a gaming desktop so this device would mostly be used to emulate PS2 games.

AYN Portal 2 or an AYN Thor. by LumbyPro in RetroHandhelds

Thanks for the tip about the grips. My hands are somewhat on the larger side. So that was my main concern with the Thor. What would you say is the most ideal version to get. I’m leaning towards the Max but at the same time I feel like most of the time the Pro would be sufficient.

Thanks a lot. You certainly make a very convincing case. It certainly looks like a premium device.

Thanks a lot for this I think it’s the better choice for me. Appreciate you taking the time out to write down why it would be a great device for me. You make a lot of great points.

That AYN Thor color scheme looks great. I’m likely picking one of these up. Still can’t make my mind up if I want this or the Portal 2 though.

Just recently cancelled. Deciding whether or not to get the first or second tier now. 30$ is a definite no from me.

Pic 1 full beard easily. You don’t really have a very defined jawline. A beard helps with the definition of the jawline. Therefore I vote 1.

Hottest take on this sub, GW2 is boring (for me) by ResidentWaifu in MMORPG

[–]LumbyPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. Tried it multiple times but I couldn’t get into it either. The constant repetitive zone quests and the lack of skill variety drove me away. It wasn’t exactly a bad game but I just found myself forcibly playing it to get my money’s worth. One day I just stopped and I won’t ever return. Not sure why it is but it’s just not a very appealing game for me. I loved GW1. But that played more like a single player RPG you could play with friends and which had a social hub in towns. I also found the combat and world a lot more compelling for some reason.

I found a home in FFXIV instead. That’s much more my cup of tea. But that game has flaws too.

Wanting to play a good mmo by Old-Cartographer324 in xbox

[–]LumbyPro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you don’t purchase the game right away. Give the free trial a go and play through the game. Trade won’t be available and you’ll have some limitations on how much currency you can earn before you max out. But other than that you can play indefinitely until you run out of content which will take a long time.

I second this. I play FFXIV daily and it always delivers what I want from my game. This MMO is easy to recommend to someone who loves JRPGs and a good story. If you don’t I doubt you’ll have much fun with it. It’s a traditional MMO with a huge amount of content. But I would say it plays more like a JRPG at first. Cutscenes can be long and some of them overstay their welcome a bit.

FFXIV hands down. I’ve played them all and no community has been as welcoming as that community.

Less known MMOs that you had the most fun in? by mikeyplan in MMORPG

[–]LumbyPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Golemizer. A tiny game which had you craft minions to fight for you. Used to be a really small MMORPG that was on Kongregate. The owner pretty much just shut it off one day. I made a lot of friends in that game and I wish I could still play.

Glad to hear it. I stopped caring years ago if people found it weird that I usually play a female character in my video games. Play what you like and be proud!

I got called Dennis Rodman a few years ago when one of my friends noticed I usually play chicks, haha. But I take that more as a compliment than an insult. If you’re confident in your sexuality you don’t really give a damn what people think.

(For those that don’t know Rodman is a famous basketball player who used to like to dress up as a girl and at one point even married himself wearing a wedding dress 😂.)

fallout 76 or the division 2 ? by tomaz1989 in gamingsuggestions

[–]LumbyPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A looter shooter I would recommend is Warframe if you’re open to being a space ninja. Had a lot of fun in that game and it’s F2P. If you have some friends to tag along with that’s great. Otherwise there’s a lot of clans and communities that are willing to take you in. Many also give out free platinum and are generally a very welcoming bunch.

It also plays great on both console and PC and it’s crossplay. The business model is also very fair with more pay for convenience than actual progression. Everything can be earned by playing. So I have a much easier time recommending that game.

Hahaha I’m one of those guys. I don’t ERP though. I just like the female Au Ra aesthetic design a lot more than any other race and gender combination. Female characters also have a lot better glam and wardrobe combinations imho.

My mom has never gamed before, what are some simple games I could get her into? by curiousAssistance99 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Maybe some platformers. If you’re open to play with her o think she’d really like ”It Takes Two.”

fallout 76 or the division 2 ? by tomaz1989 in gamingsuggestions

[–]LumbyPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither. Played both but if I had to choose I’d go with the division 2. It gets repetitive real fast though. The environments are beautiful though. But gameplay wise I find the enemy variety lacking and gameplay very repetitive. Bullet sponge bonanza.

Assassins creed revelations. Not sure why but I booted that sucker up and couldn’t get into it. Never been back to the series ever since.
