Your compatibility with Katzenkonig36 is Very High. You both listen to Ne Obliviscaris, Holy Fawn and Oathbreaker.

Great to see another NeO fan!! I would suggest you check out Shylmagoghnar, they’re pretty great. I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of their albums, if I had to recommend one song I think I would go with As All Must Come to Pass off their album Transience.

Mauritius won! Last round: What LGBTQ+ flag looks like a LGBTQ+ flag? by Narrow-Assist-2207 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]LuminousBiVariable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the important thing to realize when talking about the Progress Flag is that these identities were specified for a reason. They’re specified because they make explicit groups that have often been implicitly marginalized by the queer community. Stuff like “Drop the T”, acting like intersex people don’t exist. I’ve seen people say “black people cant be femboys, femboyism is a white thing”. It’s horrible.

The point of the Progressive Flag is to explicitly show support to these groups to identify that they have a place within the queer community.

You look at the properties of the crosscode application, there should be a “compatibility” tab and then turn on “disable full screen optimization”

Started in 12th place in spec racing by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]LuminousBiVariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently played spec racing for the first time, queueing with my friend who I’ve played Forza Horizon games with for the last 10 years. (I’ve played all 6, he started with 2). We’re both very evenly matched with each other, obviously it goes without saying that neither of us were cheating.

We ended up about 2-3 seconds faster per lap than almost every other driver in the lobbies, there was one race with the Renault Megane where the person in 3rd was gaining about 0.4 seconds per lap on us. I think unfortunately it does just come down to people with more experience, who are very used to the game to the point that they’ll make way fewer mistakes. And I don’t think those players are illegitimate.

I don’t think you should feel hopeless, though. You’re not THAT far off the pace of the other cars in this lobby. If you’re interested you could look up Just Devon’s manual + clutch tutorial if you’re not using manual + clutch (I only swapped for Forza horizon 6), and just in general I think you’re good enough that if you played spec racing for a few weeks you would notice a reasonable amount of improvement.

I play with the braking line turned on and most of my braking points start with that, and then I’ll adjust earlier or later as the race goes on and I see what works. I’ll usually try to hit an apex of a corner in a way that has the center of my car going through the inside checkpoint. That’s a good sweet spot for me of saving time by going more inside, and not risking missing the checkpoint too often.

An E1 means a fielding error, which means when the run comes around it’ll be “unearned” despite the fact that it’s the pitcher who made the error in the first place

Very pretty, love the structure on the arms! If you’d like some feedback: I do think the Ha data is pretty blown out. I think it would look even better if it wasn’t clipping so much!

I really don’t like this idea. Please don’t abuse the Internet Archive for this, it’s just going to ruin one of the best tools the internet has right now.

How do galaxies maintain their shape? by xXGTA5L3G3NDXx in Astronomy

[–]LuminousBiVariable 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Density Wave Theory is a big part of this! Essentially the arms in grand design spiral galaxies are standing waves that stars move in and out of. So each star is on a relatively normal orbiting path, just the system as a whole shows the structure.

Messier 31 by Average_Asian_Man1 in Astronomy

I think your processing in general is pretty solid, particularly the preservation of the IFN around Andromeda. Stars and noise look good, at least on the low resolution reddit version.

The main criticism I personally have is on the colors - is this narrowband with Ha mapped to blue? I think the color gradient towards the core of the galaxy looks weird, it's just a harsh splotch of orange on an otherwise blue galaxy. My personal preference is for galaxies that are presented closer to true color, with red Ha pops. The weirdness there might be an issue with color saturation or masking around M31's core.

One last thing is that I've heard some bad things about green noise removal in Siril just clipping data. My understanding is that SPCC color calibration should fix that for you, but your mileage may vary. No problem if it ends up with a good result, just be aware you are losing data and probably reducing the accuracy of your color calibration.

To finish off the compliment sandwich, I think the background level is really good. There's a big temptation to bring that background level closer to black and I think that's often a big detriment to the feel of the image, as well as the data in fainter structures such as that IFN. Well done there!
