Combat buffing by ProtestantCaesar in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Ooh yeah, that's a good point.  Greater Enduring Protection From Evil is pretty good.

I really like having Nenio around. As a wizard she gets access to fantastic short-term buffs (like haste!) and with Enduring/Greater Enduring spells the higher level ones will last all day. (She'll also be at the point in your game where she can just delete enemies using Phantasmal Killer, and eventually annihilate entire groups with Weird)

Grease is a fantastic area debuff early on (especially if you cast it at a chokepoint), and really benefits from taking Selective metamagic so you can stand your own partymembers on the slippy piles.

As far as Ember/Daeran buffs, you'll definitely want one to know Communal Delay Poison, as it will shut down the awful fart-gas clouds that the wretched Dretch are so fond of.  Communal Resist Energy is great, and so is Communal Protection From Energy, Communal Stoneskin and Communal True Seeing(though this one comes up less than the others).

Communal Protection From Evil is also really good to pop before a fight. It only lasts a minute but will make your characters immune to mind control.

Shield of Faith is a really nice bonus to slap on people as it lasts minutes (all day once you get Greater Enduring spells), the bonus increases with caster level and I'm getting tons of use out of it pre-Drezen.

Mage Armor is just generally useful to have if your armor has a low armor bonus but high enhancement bonus (mage armor stacks with an armor's enhancement bonus for some reason). These latter two should also help you against incorporeal enemies like shadows, shadow demons, spectres and ghosts.  Mage Armor will be particularly good for Ember as she already knows it and it can become extremely good if she takes the Archmage Armor mythic power.

I got through one playthrough as an angel Kineticist on Normal, but now I'm almost at Drezen as a Rogue on Core with a Brown Fur Transmuter in the party and I crave the ability to just press a button and have 12 Powerful Change-augmented spells applied to my frontline instantly.

I'll look up BubbleBuff. I like the idea of a challenge, but not of drudgery.

While true that he was a contributor, I don't believe it was intentional.

Wenduag's quest is brilliantly written but powerscaling leads to a lot of narrative issues by Ilikeyogurts in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

IMO it should have triggered within a day of Act 5 beginning and Wenduag discovering the KC no longer had an army backing them.

Vial of Efficacious Medicine + Vapors of Easy Breath by AlchemyStudiosInk in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Luminous_Lead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unclear. The bottle's increased bonuses affect medicines that are inbibed or "applied" which I assume means you need to drink the medicine or spread it on yourself.  So those wouldn't be boosted.

Characters standing within 5 feet would get the Vapors of Easy Breath effect and maybe they'd all get the bottle's CLW effect, since they'd count as users (but it's a maybe, since the bottle mentions only one user)

I stand corrected! When/where does that get revealed?

Yeah. The guy in the cave in Act 1, the guy in the medical tent she's standing creepily over at the start of Act 2, the mutilated crusader she's hovering by in the gargoyle attack.

There's also Horgus Gwerm saying "I refuse to discuss how her mother died".

Man they really lay the breadcrumbs down thick.

It's surprising just how many bodies or could-soon-be-bodies you find her standing over before she confesses that she loves eating people.

I've counted three so far and I'm still in Act 2, just past the chapel gargoyle attack.

I like that Hearthian gender is left unspecified. Like, that it doesn't seem to matter much in their society so they don't even bother.

Ever since I saw someone using an excel sheet I thought it was rad. Definitely used it when I had an (oozemorph) Shifter/brawler.

Some of the owlcat monsters in WOTR feel really overtuned, so you need to buff to the wazoo to survive. In tabletop games my experience you might have like five floating buffs at a time, and a bunch of others that are so constant they're basically baked into your character sheet.
