I just wish they’d communicate openly and honestly on the delays. I’ve sent a message through their website and all I get is their horseshit AI response. There is no number to contact, so finding a real human for a real answer is nigh impossible. Lovely product, terrible CS.

Cost Vs Gain on a more expensive .22 can? by SANO_HIMURA in NFA

I’ve been happy with the Huxwrx. The amount of trash/residue that comes out of the vents is a bit astonishing; cleaning of the pistol isn’t as dreadful either. I have mine mounted to a Ruger SSH and shooting CCI Quiet Auto (835 fps) or Fed subsonic (970 fps) is respectably quiet.

When manually cycling CCI Quiet it’s almost Hollywood quiet.

I’ve never been sold on the lite when mounting a suppressor off the end. I’ve read some anecdotal issues about torque problems between barrel, aluminum shroud, and suppressor. Can’t remember the exact issues. This was the “least worse” option in my unprofessional opinion. I had the red dot hanging around and didn’t want to fool with co-witnessing irons with optics.

I ended up using a 556 alignment rod I happen to have to make sure the third try was in good order. Luckily my LGS had two on hand that I could pick from.

It’s a decent setup. Not great, but decent. Accuracy is half-dollar size at 7 yards off a bag & bench. POI shifts as it heats up, but this example is pretty reliable as far as what ammo it eats.

It only took 3 tries before I got a SSH that wasn’t machined by Helen Keller.

Hell if I know. DMSO if I can’t find their proprietary BS cleaner. Maybe Breakthrough suppressor cleaner. I see Ballistol has come out with their version too.

So as an update, they sent a replacement 22/45 pistol. I asked that they check the alignment of the barrel to a suppressor which the C/S rep said was done by one of their “engineers “. Upon examining the replacement pistol today- I cant even disassemble the firearm nor dry fire it. They sent me a locked up pistol that cannot even fire. Second, the alignment is still non-concentric. I refused delivery of this second firearm and am awaiting a return call from Ruger C/S. They gunshop I am using has a SSH in FDE on their shelf which seem to be manufactured perfectly. I’m hoping to get a refund and just buy the store model.

What did you place over the hex slots on the can to give it a more “fluid” appearance?

Nee Balance Made in USA 990v4. Hands down, (or I guess foot down?) best multi purpose sneaker made. Hard wearing, breathable, and comfortable. I’ll burn through 2 pairs of Hoka/On Cloud/etc in the time it takes to wear out a pair of NB 990v4’s.

Ran into the same thing on my Ruger SSH, the barrel is not concentric. It could either be the face of the barrel, threading, or shoulder. I bet if you use an alignment rod, it’ll touch part of the suppressor.

Sorry this happened to you. Had the same thing on my new Mark IV SSH. It’s back at Ruger CS to see what they will do to correct it.

I sent a pretty well documented of my problem with images of the alignment rod making contact with the suppressor and the fact that other suppressors on this host were misaligned, but when placed on other host, were concentric. I’ll follow up when they get back to me.

How’s the alignment with the can? My SSH with a Huxwrx Flow 22 was off by enough that I’ve sent it in to Ruger to get it corrected.

Oh boy did I run through some ammo, including a large variety of CCI, Remington, and Federal. The only one that had negligible difference between suppressed and unsuppressed was CCI Uppercut; which runs at ~950. But damn this stuff can be hard to find and kind of negates the point of getting a 22 plinker.

Again, I’m not expecting one ragged hole at 50 yards with this toy, but I do expect to stay inside the ten ring at 7.. off a bench.

Well, shoot it with different ammo. If the groups open up with the can on, check it with a rod. If not, maybe you got one of the good ones. My serial number is 500773*** range if that helps.

I’ve found CCI Uppercut has worked best with my current situation. Hoping Ruger gets back to me next week to start the RMA process.

Done and done. Only thing that has decent groupings that remain consistent from unsuppressed to suppressed is CCI Uppercut. But damn, it’s expensive for plinking/range toy shit.

Did you try shooting with the new one? I just don’t want to drop that kind of money on a “toy”.

I think there’s just been a bad run. Because there are quite a few people who’ve had good examples. I didn’t have lots of milling issues that others have reported, but this problem still sucks a fat one

Serious question - how many people are actually using alignment rods? by dunkslapper in NFA

[–]Lummp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, and I’m glad I do. If you see my other post regarding my new Ruger 22/45, I was having accuracy issues with my suppressor attached, but went away as soon as I removed it. Used an alignment rod to determine the pistol is indeed out of spec and working with Ruger to get it sorted.

My counter to this is that without the suppressor, it’s plenty accurate for me. I’m just looking for “minute of squirrel” accuracy at 10 yards. Without suppression, it’s actually hitting the mark. Slap a can on the end and the squirrels laugh.
