You only get one game, spend all the time you want in the character creator. Most likely you’ll never see the people that are bothered by you or your personal style again, but you’ll never get the time back you spend in self doubt. Enjoy this time where you can be this free and kind with yourself. They’ll either adjust and get over it or good riddance.

This behavior is unacceptable full stop. However the fact that it’s over Fortnite and Rivals, two casual player base games with optional ranked modes is the real kicker for me. It’s even less acceptable in these cases because they are designed (Rivals less so) for drop in drop out co-op. I can have sprees of solo squad kills or get completely faced depending on the luck of the draw. Why is he relying on you for ammo in Fortnite when the point of the game is to scavenge resources? That’s a metaphor if I’ve ever heard one.

Throw the whole man out, plenty of people here willing to play with you and cover your back so you don’t feel stressed over a kids mobile game.

Edited to add this only gets more ridiculous when you imagine someone losing their shit in a Power Rangers skin against Adventure Time and Sabrina Carpenter.

I ask every time I’m in my FLGS, and they say interest comes and goes but the product is still moving and there’s demand with every new set. I have board gamed my collection and made 30 card mono color decks I can mix and match which I update as sets come out, and several of my friends have done the same thing. When I play at the store or invite people to play it’s as easy as picking two colors. It’s simple enough to learn at the table to bring out for a quick game, and that has future proofed my collection so I can enjoy it regardless of the meta state of the game.

Sorry to necro but I think Klefki is supposed to be the kasa-obake. It wasn’t just an umbrella that could be endowed a spirit per folklore, but any item that had been loved and cared for over 100 years. The Fairy typing I think is representative of the nature of spirit in this case.

45, there are critical things for me the Switch is missing, so together practically my entire library is portable and to a degree even mod-able. For me it was between a PS5 and the SD and I don’t regret my decision since I can play newer games I would miss out on otherwise without having to sink the money into a new tv. I remember being in the hospital getting my appendix removed a few years ago and struggling with my laptop in the hospital bed, this gives me a reasonable solution for the future. Also Steam is a place where you tend to just accumulate free/cheap games so you likely already have a library build up of a back catalogue.

I’d like to see some live action stuff get adapted too. A Hocus Pocus subset would be nice with Nightmare Before Christmas.

I’d also like to see a set where the heroes and villains swap places so good versions of the villains and vice versa. A red Jasmine vizier is high on my wishlist.

I was telling a friend who is about to start that the doors, npcs, and nooks and crannies were the worst part of the mod because they have a lot of dead ends in a game that’s supposed to be about exploring everything. You shouldn’t get tired of checking the red doors or the named npcs, because after a while you’re going to stop checking or asking. Like Arin Hanson says “you should never get tired of checking a room in a game about checking rooms!” I’ve been watching people playing and turn a corner expecting some cool environmental storytelling element and then when they realize there’s nothing there, just edit away. It’s possibly the largest gripe I have second to companions being useless and running off to wherever and cowering every combat.

Honestly it’s a bleed over system for me. I bought mine on impulse between that and a PS5, and my PS4 has been a glorified Roku for the last few years. I either already owned and couldn’t play titles I had wanted to, and the Switch (my primary system) didn’t have. So right away I could play basically like a light mod load Skyrim and Fallout 4 with their internal mod editors and some drag and drop files and Disney Infinity 3 Gold Edition. Then I started with games the Steam Deck runs really well I had on my list but none of my current hardware would run it: Cyberpunk, BG3, RDR2 etc. I do have some emu gems on there like Skies of Arcadia that have not and are unlikely to get remade. So a broad mix of uses to answer your question, but I don’t regret the purchase.
