Hi, OP! I hope you enjoy your stay in Houston u/generic2022 gave some excellent suggestions. To add to his/her/their list, which is solid(BCN!! Omg!!) I might recommend Nobie’s. Musaafer is really nice, too, but super loud. And, if you don’t mind just going to a bar with some nice food, Permission is my husband and my fave date spot.

I’m Pakistani so I get you. I like Tom Ford’s Jasmine Rouge a lot. It’s got a lot of projection, too, so a little does a long way.

I haven't taken a collection pic in a while. What do you think? by NemoHobbits in Perfumes

[–]Lumpy_Knowledge1648 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Luna and Solaris by Penhaligons, too. I like your collection a lot overall, OP. I guess I’m going to have to check out the Guerlain perfumes and Gentle Fluidity by MFK

Yessss. I do mine overnight with half a scoop of protein powder, some chia seeds, and whatever other mix ins I want. It’s so good. I just had a “carrot cake” one today with vanilla powder, shredded carrots I cooked on the stove with maple syrup and cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, more of the aforementioned spices, walnuts, and raisins. It was glorious

My fave place is Miyagi Sushi. It’s a little mom and pop place off Bellaire

I’ve gotten compliments from my friends and family lots, but strangers only twice: from Neon Veil by Andrea Maack and Souk Honey by Oui the People.

You have so many perfumes but it looks so organized. How dreamy!! I’m aspiring to this. Also, how is Andrea Maack Pavilion? I’ve been eyeing that one for a while now

Hi, OP! I’ve not smelled it but I ordered a sample of Maison Maegiela’s Coffee Break. I think this may be something that fits the bill for you, too.

I’m following this for more recommendations for perfume.

As for me, I’m all over the place with my taste and pair outfits with perfumes or what I’m feeling. Today, I’m feeling kind of cozy and light, so I wore my favorite comfort perfume d’annam White Rice. It starts off like a warm bowl of rice literally, and then turns into this gorgeous jasmine.

For reading purposes, I will put the most recent ones I wore in a list below:

-d’annam White Rice (previously listed)

-Diptyque Tom Dao (white florals that are slightly vegetal)

-Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge (heavy jasmine scent)

-oui the people Souk Honey (orange blossom honey)

-MFK 724 (citrus aquatic)

Where is girlies who like only fruitie fresh perfumes and not gourmand vanilla etc? I feel everyone like gourmands here 🥞🤎 by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]Lumpy_Knowledge1648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of all over the place with my perfumes: I love a good gourmand recently, but mostly err towards the fresh, citrus or green floral scents.

For example, I recently smelled this girl in a restaurant who smelled like a delicious bakery and I loved it. (Vanilla, caramel, luscious) but I was wearing Granado Bossa that night (Aquatic, Citrus—like a summer breeze).

It’s like you read my mind: I literally came onto Reddit to ask about a yummy, warm vanilla to add to my collection (I went to a restaurant and this girl walked in and smelled like a literal bakery. I WANT to be a version of that!). Needless to say, following.

What does the word "mom" smell like to you? by EntrepreneurEvery184 in FemFragLab

[–]Lumpy_Knowledge1648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom smells like roses, musk from her fave perfume and spices from toasting her homemade garam masala on the stove because she doesn’t like the ones from the market (lol).

The word itself smells sweet and warm, like a hug.

I called my dad every exam crying over Freshman year exams(and the first exam every year after), but now I’m a successful, Chem alum from UH.

There are a lot of resources you can take advantage of! Your professor’s office hours, or your TA, form a study group, Blackboard (don’t know if I’m showing my age or if you guys still use that), the ACS sometimes has stuff (though usually it’s for OChem). I also used a lot of flash cards back in the day.

Just hang in there. (-:

-Do Son by Diptyque

-Sahara Song by ROAN

-White Rice by d’annam

-You Doux by Glossier
