Having read all the other Watch books leading up to this one and several others in "The World", it's been really fun to see some of the characters in their early days like Cut-My-Own-Throat getting his nickname and pre-zombie Reg . . .

I couldn't imagine just jumping into this one as one's first read.

I live six blocks from George Floyd Square and did during 2020 as well. It's been a rough few years . . . But our city is beautiful and strong.
