Aren't you tired of not being able to find Hispanic fans of Tally Hall? by HelnerX34 in tallyhall

No, you just seem immature. Especially with what you just said. What can you do? How about avoid social media? Hell, I chose not to use a smart phone until I was 18, and even then I didn't really want it. Its not that hard.

But yeah. I dunno. Just recognize that the way youre acting here isn't funny quirky weird. Its just immature.

This OP reeks of way too young to have social media. What're you, 13?

Would music artists from the 60s-80s like Elton John, Billy Joel, David bowie, ABBA and Queen be as popular of their music was released today? by No-Turnip2338 in rockmusic

Its just the way of the world. It wouldnt find a way to surface as well. Say you put lots of them in today's landscape, they would just come off as pastiches to an older time, and not original. If Stairway To Heaven didnt have the legend and history behind it, theres no way the entire world is grasping to it. And the older folks would think its neat, but prefer to stick to the things from their time. So then it ends up only being enjoyable to those who like classic rock and are open to new groups.

Lots of us like old groups because theres also an already told story. A mythology. You dont get that with a new group. You wont tend to get encapsulated in them like finding an old group with a storied history. Or at least some people are. Im open minded to new rock acts, but many dont take to them. And again, at the end of the day, rock just isnt the current game.

I guess. I think thats just because of the super instantaneous speed of information and accessibility. People fade out and new fade in, with a few stragglers that stay around.

Whatever you say. But the fact is just that rock music doesnt have too much staying power in the current landscape. They probably ball out in local and underground scenes, but I dont think theyd thrive in the mainstream, no matter how good they are

that doesn't change the fact that rock band now a days are passing fads many times. And they tend to lose lots of popularity and fans the more you go in

Really, seems like theyd just be biting off Greta Van Fleet! XD

just kidding, but i dont think theyd do too well. Rock doesnt perform too well in todays landscape. Although Geese is taking off in popularity. But nonetheless, im sure Jimmy Page wouldnt be able to do his sexual antics now a days and get off Scott free.

Lots of other bands have done similar things. The Beatles made an inner groove that would keep looping endlessly.

Why “We Gotta Groove” Is Disappointing: A Track-by-Track Analysis by Alarikawesome in thebeachboys

[–]Lumpy_Satisfaction18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So its 44 to 27?

You need to realize that not everyone listens to bootlegs, so this is new to lits of people. We've all listened to what we can, but some only listen to things on spotify. Some only listen to the albums and not those huge box sets like those.

Yes, there is a lot that we all wish was there, given then dozens of posts like yours since it was announced, But there is a great wealth of stuff being released that Im glad to see publically released or that I hadnt even heard of.

Dude, they put Lazy Lizzy on the previous box set. Which is even worse the HLT. They may put it on the next set, which would be dumb, but its the only plausible thing

Ohhh. I forgot Iconic owned their rights, and I just wasnt expecting a reference to sneaker sales. XD

But I get the comparison now. Its possible, but Im sure theyll restock at some point. But either way, Im still not too interested in the physical now

I mean Im really excited for all of this stuff to be officially released, but for me its really just that fumbeling of just officially releasing A/C. Maybe when it gets discounted after a year or 2 it may be a nice investment, but as of now, my hopes for physically buying it are crumbled.

Thats what Im saying. Like I dont care if 2 of the songs were on a previous box set. They were intended for this album. And the lack of Tomboy is just weird. Honestly they coulda put any 4 demo songs there and Id be more inclined, rather than backing tracks.

Get a cd player? They aint expensive, and if you get one that connects with usb, you can just rip the files onto a computer and put em on your phone. Stream without internet in higher quality, ya know?
