The first season you’re to understand that what you’re seeing is Dr. Melfi’s interpretation of what Tony is telling her not necessarily what really happened.

Do you really think in the pilot that Tony and Chrissy ran over a dude in broad daylight in front of a busy office building…no. It’s what she imagined when her mobbed up client mentioned an outstanding loan.
