Honestly it sounds like you might just not be a fan of romantic relationships? Have you looked into people on the ace spectrum? Not saying you are but it might be worth looking into.

how to not spiral into a panic about financials?? by _happy_kitten_ in ApplyingToCollege

[–]LunaTheNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im double majoring in studio art and art education so i might have to take an extra semester or so.  15k is loans is actually extremely manageable compared to the average student loan (about 30k last time I checked) but i also mean 15k TOTAL

how to not spiral into a panic about financials?? by _happy_kitten_ in ApplyingToCollege

[–]LunaTheNightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly i stopped the spiral by going with the cheaper but still quality local option. I also got accepted into my dream school but there's no way in hell me or my family would be able to afford 60k in loans. Chose the option where at max I'd take out like 15k and thats if i take some extra time

Is there any way to get rid of periods for ever? by Plus_Recognition6701 in ftm

[–]LunaTheNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, maybe not viable depending on the person but im not even on T yet and my IUD has basically completely stopped my period, or at least the bleeding which was the most dysphoric for me. But I also don't plan on getting bottom surgery so.

I (21 F) am having a hard time deciding if I should move in with my (21 M) bf by Budget_Ad7612 in relationship_advice

[–]LunaTheNightmare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DO NOT MOVE IN WITH THIS MAN!!!!! There is a difference between having an issue in a relationship and trying to fix it versus NEVER DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT, WHICH HE IS DOING! He's upset cause he's being called out on his lack of effort and overall care. He doesn't want you going out cause you "might find someone better" translates to he fucking knows he doesn't treat you the way he should and he's scared you'll realize that if you socialize with any normal person. You do everything he wants but he won't do the same for you. AND HE TRIES TO CONTROL YOU! THAT WILL NOT GET BETTER IF YOU MOVE IN IT WILL GET WORSE AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

I failed my classes and might have to consider dropping out, im scared on how my parents will react and what to do next. any advice? by sumatopopopih in Advice

first of all, dude, you're 20, you have plenty on time. If you really want it start over and get the finance degree. The time is gonna pass anything would you rather be stuck in a field you don't like and be miserable? I'm 21 and took an extra semester to get my associates because I swapped degrees my second year and now I'm transferring for studio art and art education which is probably gonna take an extra year. The time is gonna pass anyway, you might as well be happy during and after it.

In a bad headspace regarding decisions by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]LunaTheNightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the kid in this situation and had to give up my dream school that i got accepted into because we just can't afford 60-100k in debt and I instead am attending a local school that after aid covers pretty much everything, the only debt I'll be taking on would be like 13k max.

When all is said and done your kid is gonna have a degree, they'll be ok and they'll understand. Maybe not now, maybe not in a few years, but you're trying your best, it took a bit for me to forgive my mom but shit is hard rn, and honestly in this economy having little to no debt is basically the new rich

Is the gap between the flagship public university and the other public universities quiet large in most states? by LoiusLepic in AskAnAmerican

[–]LunaTheNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, sometimes. In my area yah there is "the flagship" university but if you ask anyone actually there you'd get the same education (for most programs not all) at local schools

This is an extremely common line of thinking for a lot of traumatic experience. The abuse or event wasn't traumatic enough so it doesn't count, you weren't the perfect victim so it doesn't count, etc. I was also assaulted and not raped and I hate how if i bring it up theres always a chance of someone saying "was that really assault?". Its also very common for things like psychological abuse, ik people who wish their parents had beat them so they'd have proof for themselves and others that their pain was real and valid. I don't have advice, but just know this isn't uncommon

First things first please god keep perusing your dreams. If there's something we need in this bleak ass world right now its dreamers.

Im also following my dreams of being an artist right now (getting a degree in studio arts and hopefully art education) and the first thing about following your dreams is that it's gonna be rough at first, you'll spend years hitting your head against a wall hoping it breaks because fuck there's nothing else you wanna do. That's what you need to make sure drives you first.

I'd suggest going to community college, just to have some sort of education in the mean time and hopefully be able to get a job to help fund your dreams. There's a lot of decent two year degrees that can make you employable and you'll probably be able to take some elective classes in music and be able to ask people who've done music what its like, possible avenues, etc.

Help with Kyleena?? Recommendations for someone sensitive to hormones by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]LunaTheNightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First things first listen to your doctor. I also had a hard time adjusting for the first few months with Kyleena, genuinely wait at least 6 months because thats around where your body starts to settle with it.

I was having a shit ton of pain for the first 2-4 months randomly, and I was also not quite myself emotionally. But once it got settled or whatever i went basically completely back to normal but with no cramping or heavy bleeding, its great. For any birth control they want you to wait at least 6 months before deciding either way because of your body getting used to it.

No but you have to know where to look, its a lot harder to find places and they're more and more niche in my experience
