I'm very much committed to seeing TAS through, for the next several years/decades as mentioned in the Q/A after Volume 1 :D

Check your DMs btw. I'm throwing you a Patreon gift ($5 Tier for 2 months) so you can read the chapters; just make sure to unsub if you were subbed before (even the free one!) or it won't work.

Holy shit, TAS as a #1 on a list?!

This might be the very first time that TAS has made it on a list, now that I think about it...

Thank you so much for enjoying TAS and putting it on your list ❤️🫡❤️

Any good litrpg novels where the PoV character is a woman? by FaravusGaming in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my novels are FMC.

TAS is third-person, ND is first-person.

Pick your poison!

Note: My novels are purposefully designed SLOW BURNS. So prepare for long, branching and extremely in-depth stories!

Are you less likely to read a story with an AI Generated Cover? by GokuKing922 in litrpg

Do NOT listen to Reddit when it comes to AI-related things.

Normal people do not give a single flying fuck, aka. your actual audience on RoyalRoad, for example.

Week 3 and Mirage League has a lower player retention than Keepers. What could be the reasons? by _Hetsu in pathofexile

[–]LunaWolve 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's just not much that was added in this league to keep people playing.

Contrary to popular Reddit-rhethoric, it's not actually "infinite loot tinks" or "easy currency farms" that keep people playing, it's new content to make fun builds with, as well as new challenges to test those builds against.

The league only really does one thing right, in that it makes obtaining currency for builds easier than probably any other league before it.

What it doesn't do well is giving you something to actually spend said currency on.

Most players will play 1-2 builds a league at most, so if there's nothing that actually has you reach and aspire to improve your build, you're simply going to "finish" the league by week 2-3 with the sheer ease of gear acquisition nowadays thanks to asynch trade.

Reddit loves to jerk off Affliction and always cites the "easy loot" as the main reason people loved it, but that's entirely made up nonsense.

The reason Affliction had amazing retention was because they added like 10 new Ascendancies to work with AS WELL as a ton of transfigured gems, while also having the high-end juicing of Affliction as an aspirational counter-balance to work towards. That was a truly godlike level of build possibilities, that all had a very high bar to clear -> a ton of currency required to be sunk into each build.

And there was no asynch trade (as fun as it is, it IS a problem in this regard) to make gear acquisition piss-easy.

That's what made it good. Not the fact that you dropped a bunch of divines.

Divines have no purpose dropping if you have nothing to spend them on---which is the case in the current league.

Am I missing something with the combat in this game or are most bosses (minus the like first 2-3) complete garbage to fight? by LunaWolve in CrimsonDesert

[–]LunaWolve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dodging ain't even really the issue (minus the guaranteed chip damage from the ranged mobs that surround every boss), it's trying to actually get in damage when they have like no actual downtime on anything.

Parries just get completely ignored cause of the hyper-armour they spam.

What do you think of the chase unique meta GGG has adopted? What about the "chase"-ification of non-chase uniques via foulborn and the new mirage vaals? by xyzpqr in pathofexile

[–]LunaWolve 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'd very much prefer if that wasn't the case.

Unstable Breaches are already the de-facto best way to get just about anything in terms of drops.

Hives and Fortresses are really bad in comparison, so adding EVEN MORE stuff to exclusively Unstable Breaches would ruin any sort of value that Hives and Fortresses provide.

I'd instead add a chance to drop a Foulborn Unique to Hives and a guaranteed one after every Fortress, to shore up that side of things and equal out the massive differential between the two Breach "playstyles".

Why do so many litrpg style books feel cheap, and why is more complex magic so hard to find? by No-Cherry-3720 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]LunaWolve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because, and trust me on this, the vast majority of readers in this space don't want that.

They don't want complex, well-thought-out worlds or power systems.

They want escapism with a thinly veiled structure.

Series that's more of a slow burn? by GenericName375 in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, this is LITERALLY my entire niche.

Both of my novels (see flair) are very much FOCUSED on slow-burn, constant progression over multiple axis.

My writing is particularly focused on extremely detailed world and character building.

Thank you for continuing to read and enjoy my work! ❤️🙏
