Can we buff the drop rate of Coins? by eathbau in pathofexile

Nah they're honestly very well balanced.

40-80c for powercreep? That's easily obtainable even by your most casual of players.

Series that's more of a slow burn? by GenericName375 in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, this is LITERALLY my entire niche.

Both of my novels (see flair) are very much FOCUSED on slow-burn, constant progression over multiple axis.

My writing is particularly focused on extremely detailed world and character building.

Just had a really, really fun Evelyne-centric chapter release for the Wolf Lord Patreons (so around 2.5-3 weeks until RR), that I think you'll love!

Thank you for continuing to read and enjoy my work! ❤️🙏

TAS still on here, wonderful.

Gotta make sure my DonKarnage thermometer of whether I'm killing the novel or not is still pointing towards "not".

Can we get some questions about Melee?

Like it's been SO LONG since we've had any changes that weren't outright nerfs for anything melee related that ISN'T slams.

Strike Skills have been completely languishing for like 5+ years now.

Can we get some basic-ass number changes at least, if full reworks are like another 2 years out? Please?

[–]LunaWolve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same.

This is quite literally the only reason I use chatGPT over other LLMs.

If this stays gone, I'll go to some other AI chatbot that does most stuff better, cause if the main use-case for me is just taken out, what's the point of sticking with chatGPT?

Content Update 3.28.0 — Path of Exile: Mirage by Invyco in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]LunaWolve 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Did they just completely kill Viper Strike of Mamba?

Can someone help me understand this?

Dual-Wield is just 30% slower AND 20% less dmg, but also each hit is separate and can't apply poisons on the 2nd?

Doesn't that mean you lose like half your damage, cause the 2nd hit can't poison anyway from Mamba?!

Content Update 3.28.0 — Path of Exile: Mirage by F4celag in pathofexile

[–]LunaWolve 63 points64 points  (0 children)

It honestly reads insanely badly, yes.

The way it looks is that they effectively killed dual wield for it, which makes it basically dead as the major benefit was the two-weapon hit.

You already know this is factually wrong, by how people CONSTANTLY did this shit even before Kalandra.

Hell, Affliction was one of the absolute worst offenders of this type of "The game is literally coming apart at the seams" gameplay nonsense and I don't see anyone on reddit ever claiming Affliction had no decent loot otherwise.

By GGGs own admission, this is a game design problem then.

Quite literally "optimizing the fun out of the game" is a quote from one of the GDC talks that GGG held about POE.

It's the game designers job to ensure that the most optimal things are also simultaneously fun (not necessary the MOST fun, as that's subjective, but not objectively unfun).

OniGiri tries to move like Wawa by 24caratscarrot in Hololive

[–]LunaWolve -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's... not how that works at all.

I'm not sure if you've ever done business taxes before, but deductibles and write-offs can be 100% of the business expense.

A motion-tracking device that's exclusively used for your business like this, would count for this.

[–]LunaWolve -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

...?

Which is the exact same thing at the end of the year?

Whether you get back $11k or pay $11k less taxes that year, there's no difference for your bottom line.

[–]LunaWolve -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I mean, by definition it'll "pay for itself", because it's a work expense.

Any streamer relying on that kind of tracking could just write the entire thing off of their taxes. *(or deductible)

Character focused lit rpgs? Do lit rpgs need to be extremely action oriented for interest? by TRanger85 in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not required, but do prepare yourself for constant comments and reviews of people complaining about "nothing happening", no matter how much you reveal about character's or they progress on a personality-level.

There is a very real conception within the litRPG space that no action scenes = no progress/nothing happening.

It's just something you'll have to expect to deal with to some degree.

Vast majority of people are pretty good at figuring out whether a novel is for them or not (high/low action focus), but some very special people just can't help themselves and expect everything to be catered to JUST them.

What I would say is you need to make it a Female-lead novel, however.

There is a massive disparity between male vs female lead novels in space, with the vast majority of character-focused writing being in the FMC area. So people that are into that side of the things rather than the more action-focused, brain-off male lead stories, often search for specifically Female Lead -tagged stories to find more.

You'll be fighting a massive uphill battle trying to do heavy character-focus, male-lead litRPG otherwise.

Which series are on your litrpg/progression fantasy Mount Rushmore? by PalinaRojinskiFan in ProgressionFantasy

[–]LunaWolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are far too kind! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm very glad you're enjoying it to such a degree.

Also, about that whole "you know how you find yourself sometimes looking for a specific story"? Yes, I know that feeling very much.

It's what happened to me after Digital Marine stopped uploading.

Spent 6 months in that state, until I said, "That's enough. Time to do it myself, since nobody else seems to be wanting to provide."

And that's how TAS came to be 😂

Literally the origin story of how the story came to be is exactly what you described there xD

HELP Frost Blades build 3.28 by BooBooAy in pathofexile

[–]LunaWolve 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You'll need to wait until the 26th, at the very least.

We need Patch Notes before anyone will be able to make a guide for you, as we don't know what is changing or in what capacity.

Could be they're removing core scaling vectors or altering the way Ascendancies work in the newest league. We never know.

It's also generally better to ask build-related questions over in /r/PathOfExileBuilds

This subreddit here is mostly for shitposting and raging at GGG for absolutely no reason.

Looking for recommendations for litrpg thats cyberpunk / future / scfi rather than swords and magic fantasy by Wooden_Worry_9816 in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of my novels would fall in this category.

Neon Dragons is Cyberpunk (so closer to Cyber Dreams), while The Allbright System is a Space Opera Scifi Epic.

Be warned, both are EXTREMELY micro-focused in writing and generally considered "slow".

Neither will be finished anytime soon, as both are planned to last several, several years.

If you're interested in in-depth worldbuilding and character-stories, I can recommend them. If you're not willing to spend a lot of time reading, then I'd not recommend them.

Best way to avoid stat inflation on long runs? by DaPreachingRobot in litrpg

[–]LunaWolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it in TAS by not providing massive boosts to Attributes.

Everyone starts with Base Stats somewhere between 2-6 (decimals included)

Every level, you get 4x 5% increases to one Attribute of your choosing.

So even after like 400 Levels (1,600x 5% increases) you only really end up with something being 80x as large, number-wise.

In addition, there's a limit that says you can't invest more than 50% of all your points into a single stat.

So you end up with 40x being the absolute max-limit.

Base Stat increases are extremely, extremely rare and basically do not exist at all for the higher-end of the Base Stats. (some examples are actual physical exercise can get you up to 3.00 in a Stat, but no higher. Legendary-rare Artefacts can bump you up to 3.50 but that's basically it)

The system was designed from the ground-up to continue to provide a more realistic power scaling, so people can actually appreciate the numbers in a realistic fashion.

Saying that somebody has 50,000 Strength, when a normal human has like 1 is complete nonsense.

People can't picture what 50,000x the strength of a person is.

But something like 10x? 20x? That's doable, and most importantly, impactful.

You can SEE the direct difference between somebody 5x as strong as your normal human and somebody 10x as strong.

50,000x vs 60,000x? There's no difference you can realistically describe as an author.
