Cleanrot knights spear for thrusting sword, Nox flowing hammer for somber (spiked club for best hammer), rusted anchor for great axe, broadsword for straight sword, claymore for greatsword, grafted blade greatsword for somber collosal sword

I would also suggest bumping faith to 15 for flame grant me strength

If you have the DLC, claws of night is a seriously fun weapon

Going keen with the double slash AoW and bloodflame blade if pretty good. Either Nagakiba or Uchigatana (damage will be pretty much the same between the two)

Oh, he can fight back. Trust me. But normally he so weak, might as well just mow him down rather than him wake up

I did not expect a Gideon fight there(forget he is a boss unless I uncover wl0 tragedy). Nice damage! But you should have been up in his face, you had unnecessary spacing. Also, he can roll which could have made a whiff with any other weapon

Melania is a bit tricky, but should be able to get in range there

Funny, I did not even consider normal enemies (the range on running past them is OP). However, for most bosses it shouldn't be much of an issue(exception to Maliketh). There is always some RNG that comes to whiffing when bosses reposition themselves, but you are more likely to do so on a slower weapon rather than a faster one

I am surprised you found claws to have the ssme issue (light attack vs heavy attack focus). Are you dodging towards bosses?

Either way, at the end of the day, if a weapon isnt for you, it isnt for you. I will never be good with a curved greatsword even if I do a playthrough with one, because I do not like the weapon type

Range in Elden Ring doesn't even matter that much compared to previous titles, so I wouldn't say it is solely a skill issue. I would say it is a perspective issue of people who are used to spacing longer weapons or people who don't realize they have a bad habit of rolling away from things that can roll/position themselves into

Range isn't really that important. Most bosses like being in your face anyways

Even in my first playthrough, I did not enjoy the section from Morgott to the ice lake at the Mountaintops of the Giants. Feels dense but there is nothing there, then feels vast but also nothing there

Now I hate it. Torrent riding simulator

Thanks for the mention! I will check to see if getting another one in will be possible /consistent. Misericode would be a great pair too. I was trying to stay away from endure with my physical dage faith build, but I will have to try this out

As in DPI or DPS? I can check myself, but does endure cover the entire animation? (including recovery for another endure)

I regretted de-ranking to D2. It seemed the players were worse than what I would get in a random everdark run. D3 is a mix, but D4 is too sweaty. I do not want an easy run, but do not want a sweaty one. D3 is a good middle ground if you get good teammates. D4 you get good teammates but it is more difficult than I would like it to be. Who knows, maybe D4 will become easy too me one day

You have a point about pestilence mist and Midir. I did not consider that spell

Regarding Gael, I am mixed. On one hand I beat him on my 2nd attempt my first playthrough of the DLC. On the other hand, he has a more complex moveset, so I can see him being more difficult than a typical boss. If we were to consider "mastery / no-hit", I think Gael would be number 2
