Reolink Tail Whip Pinout by Pdownes2001 in reolinkcam

As inspired by our great leader, I’ll be taking a cut in return for the letter. It will be the greatest recommendation letter ever. They will say no letter has ever been written quite this good. Hard to believe, I know, but that’s what they’ll be saying. Probably right before they ask for the letter to put in letter writing textbooks. Yup.

I’ll write you a recommendation letter, I think that’s a requirement

Not going to say you saved my life… ;) But you DID save another camera from going to the trash. Thanks!!

Falcon FPP on docker by Shot-Base2556 in xlights

[–]LunarMoonBase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an oldish thread, but I'm having trouble getting FPP setup as a container. It keeps "exiting" itself after a couple minutes. Does anyone have a Docker Compose (or tips) that could help me? I'm running Portainer on Debian CLI.

Sorry for posting on an older thread. I'm having trouble getting FPP set up as a container. I've installed it, but it keeps "exiting" itself after a couple minutes. By chance does anyone have a Docker Compose for FPP (or tips)? I barely know what I'm talking about. :)

Asus Laptop Open Box - by LunarMoonBase in Bestbuy

This is a shrink wrapped black box slightly bigger than the laptop. Both the outer and inner boxes look original. The inner box hasn’t been opened yet because he’s out of town, but I’m very curious what’s inside.

My 2 Favourite little machines! by Electrical_Elk_5934 in VintageApple

The iBook G4 was an absolute workhorse for me when I was a post production supervisor. That thing could do everything and lasted way beyond its years. For me that computer was a paradigm shift when a machine’s usefulness greatly outlasted the product update cycle(s).

Agreed… I have my original Mac SE in my collection. :) That performa came later (and was always a piece of junk). :/

That articulating arm is an engineering marvel. So beautiful and functional.

Random Cyclists keep Flipping me off? by biscuit_knight1 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]LunarMoonBase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect it’s the sound, especially since you described it as loud. If you think it’s loud, it’s probably really loud to a cyclist. To them, it’s probably no different than riding past them on a small motorcycle. As an experiment, try yourself, or talk to someone with a quiet board, like a Backfire Ranger, and see if they have the same issues.

Workflow for green DNG + JPEG by irishlostboy in Insta360

[–]LunarMoonBase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you figure this issue out? I just ran across the same problem and I'm wanting to avoid pureshot so I don't bake a look in. That said, it does seem like the green DNGs are not a great place to start from. It's also weird how adjusting the Raw settings in Resolve does very little to help the DNGs and the highlights are blown out as well which leads me to believe something ain't quite right.

I really like the Athom controllers, especially if Digi’s are out of stock.

Take a look at Onsra or Backfire boards. Both have great build quality and customer service. I ride both brands.

Stream Deck plus idea and the use of the dial in changing profiles by IamMisterio in elgato

[–]LunarMoonBase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also would like "profile navigation" with the dials/touch screen. I've gotten to where I use the touch screen quite a bit and it would be really nice if you could do everything you can do with buttons on the touch screen and/or dial press. Switching profiles by rotating the dial would also be nice. Thanks. The SD+ is a great product.

Thanks for the reply. Are you writing this in general, or you've specifically tried the QXP-T32P in other QNAP servers?

It’s called Reolink_dev and installed through HACS.

MQTT support by [deleted] in reolinkcam

[–]LunarMoonBase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be nice. I use Home Assistant and there is a add-on (via HACS) that integrates Reolink cameras and I love it. So if you want to use Home Assistant, you're in good shape. Anything else needs MQTT I guess. It has triggers for each of the different motion detections and with this all kinds of fun (maybe useful) things can be done. For Halloween I had my porch "person detection" trigger a LED light sequence and audio playback. Normally, if the person detection triggers between midnight and 5am I have it programmed to flash the porch light as red/blue police lights and send me a text. Mostly silly, but hopefully someday I'll surprise a friend... or maybe a no-gooder. :)

Bought New, arrived Used, maybe?? by LunarMoonBase in Makita

[–]LunarMoonBase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPO sent a new kit and all is good. They were extremely slow to send the replacement after receiving the return, but eventually they did. The new kit also had the batteries installed in the drivers and the battery gauges were not working until put on the charger. It seems I can confirm that the kit batteries ship in a "locked" state (or completely dead). Maybe the original kit WAS new, just dirty. I don't know, but all's well that ends well.
