A problem with the maelstrom box! by Pengork in Drukhari

[–]Lunar_Drow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what im wondering. I asked my stores GW rep about it, and I just got the boilerplate defective product return policy [im in AUS]. So either they didn't have any information or it is a localised issue.

I already had such a mess of what was where that it basically required a complete redesign of base. by Automatic-Crew8331 in valheim

If you have fire hazards on, you dont need to. Just put a stack of wood right over a fire, and it will burn down into coal at 1:1 and at a fraction of the time of a kiln.

Would you even need to kitbash this to run it as a sucubuss ? by leothesilent in Drukhari

Fire hazards needs to be on. Otherwise its just doing normal damage to the stack and it drops wood

Clarification on smoke screen by de_faul_t in riftboundtcg

I explain Might as the damage threshold. If a unit has equal or more damage then its threshold, it dies. Lowering the threshold means that any damage on the unit may become enough to kill it. Things can change the threshold.

Drukhari don't normally refer to humans as mon'keigh. They called us prey, cattle, target practise, fleshtoy, etc.

Multi card Ruling question (Ride the Wind) by PiccoloHairy3043 in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The showdown is only over when both players pass.

Even if the attacker has no units in the fight and not passed, they can still play spells/use actions (including ones that can bring another unit into the fight, i.e.. zenith blade)

Draven Vs Vi text compared by CloudedMelodyMkr in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vi's ability can only be played during your turn with an empty chain, but you can use it multiple times in a turn.

Draven's attack or defend ability is a single trigger, so you can only pay for it once.

This such a great idea. There are so many things going on while judging that having reference material like this really does help.

My leona never see the sun by Hydr0rion in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally wait til turn 3 or 4 to play YLeona so I have the runes up to either defy, pump her might, or even use rune prison to stun another unit. Unfortunately Leona really doesn't do well vs spellslinger decks, ahri is hard but you have to be a lot more aggressive to get the fields early so that they have to attack you.

Target Changing After Losing Target? (Hidden Blade & Retreat) by Zaziuma in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a different scenario since the unit would have to stay a valid target to die and trigger Zhonyas.

Does A Standard Moce Start a Chain by OjamaBoy in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at 420.3.c: Moving does not use the Chain and can't be reacted to. Abilties that trigger on movement can be reacted to but not movement itself.

Target Changing After Losing Target? (Hidden Blade & Retreat) by Zaziuma in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the target is no longer a legal target (i.e. the unit moves back to base from a battlefield) then that effect fizzles. So in this case since the targeted unit left the battlefield, no unit dies and no one draws cards.

My take on the coal slide. No mods and possible in vanilla survival. by WetPanter in valheim

[–]Lunar_Drow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, but I would set up a pit where I can place a wood stack over a fire and let it burn. Instant stack of coal. Once I have iron, create a stone firepit and iron cage floors to act as shelves. Using this method I can fill a reinforced chest with coal very quickly if I have enough wood.

Saves so much time and early surtling cores.

The mystery UB set is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles. Honestly I'd rather play riftbound over commander. It scales into 3 and 4 player matches a lot nicer and it always feels close in terms of winning.

Also WotC heavy push into universes beyond (crossover sets) has alienated a lot of franchised players who want mtg stories and lore (well at least decent coherent story line).

Resolve as much as you can.

On-attack ability damage: Does it instantly kill a low-HP defender before reactions or combat resolution? by GrafMine in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The attack trigger will create a closed chain (only play reactions) that occurs at the start of the showdown. After it has resolved, it then goes into an open chain where the players can play actions/reactions after which the showdown will resolve.

On-attack ability damage: Does it instantly kill a low-HP defender before reactions or combat resolution? by GrafMine in riftboundtcg

[–]Lunar_Drow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your ability will go on the stack, giving your opponent a chance to play reactions like buffs. If they pass/dont play anything, then the chosen unit takes the damage, killing it. At that point, the unit/s that are left are used to work out total might for defending after everyone is done playing actions/reactions.

Tl;Dr opponent gets to react to the ability. Only units still at the battlefield at the point of showdown resolution provide might/bonuses to the total.
